EXPIRED Goose Down Pillows - £22.50

Happy Boxing Day MSErs!
I've been after some goose down pillows for some time, as these are supposed to be the most luxurious type of pillows you can get.
In the Christmas sale I found these - £45 each down to £22.50, which is half price, even though on one of the website pages it says that the range has only 10% off... So this may be a glitch?!
For an 80% goose down and 20% feather pillow, I think this is exceptional value.

Just thought I'd add as a comparison- John Lewis have a special offer on a pillow with the similar specs - Only it's £50, and does not come with a central chamber for the goose feathers /firmness...

Quidco 6%, don't forget to get this!0

Good deal but their returns policy requires the items to be "unopened" and I'm not sure I would know the correct firmness of a pillow without putting my head on it.
They're actually in breach of the distance selling regulations (see packaging under consumer rights to refund) by not allowing you to open them.
I hope you like what you receive but I don't think I'm going to risk it.0 -
Seems so as £39.99 on DAPW amazon website

I really do not want to start an argument over this but people might not be aware that most goose down is live plucked from geese, leaving them painfully raw and bleeding, sometimes they are even scalded first to make the feathers easier to pluck.
Sainsbury, Tesco and more do synthetic 'just like down' pillows which all get good reviews.
If you want to know more, here is a link but there is much information available.

Hmm.. not enough facts for my liking, and then things like...The China Feather and Down Industrial Association claims that only about 1-3% of feathers from their country come from live birds, whereas 97-99% is a slaughterhouse by-product. The European Down and Feather Association claims that about 98% of feathers are a by-product from the poultry meat production, leaving only 2% to come from live birds.
and
The European Union forbids improper live-plucking. They do allow the "harvesting feathers and down from the live animal at the moment of molting" if carried out in accordance with certain rules.
What's true? Who knows.0 -
if god didn't want them plucking he shouldn't have made them so darn comfortable should he.Hating Hastings Direct!0
