    now, I may be wrong about this but I think that amazon take a ridiculous percentage of every sale (am i right in thinking it's around 25-30%... or did I dream that?)

    that being the case... if you take the commission off that price then it's about right (don't shoot me if I am talking out of my bottom though!)

    Edit: 17.25% +VAT + a percentage of postage. so prob closer to 22% (?)

    That's what I like about this place ..
    You would never get this depth of conversation about a pillow if you mentioned in the local that you thought you'd seen some cheap pillows and reckoned they were a bit of a bargain :)

    Because you say something that costs you your job
  • Wow! I didn't expect a thread about pillows to be so riviting!

    Corelli, I hope that these pillows haven't been procured as you have described. The company has good reviews from previous customers, so I am hoping that they also have good ethics.

    Glad I have helped a few other people out... looking forward to a nice nights sleep - It's what I spent my Christmas money on!
  • Has anyone had theirs arrive yet that can comment on the quality?

    I saw pillows for the same spec at £35 in John Lewis today - because they're 80% goose down, they are very soft, almost as though your head would sink right through it.

    Lol, 85% feathers, these are 80% down, in a completely different league, but then obviously the price reflects this.
  • Has anyone received theirs yet and can comment on how soft it is? As the £22.50 ones are medium-firm. I don't want one that is too firm. Thanks.

    I'm curious as to how soft these are as I've read the full spec and it says;

    'In our standard size New White Goose Down pillow we've introduced a slightly firmer pillow by changing the construction. The two chamber pillow has a central chamber packed with feathers for the firmness. But we surround this core with a layer of down, giving the pillow a soft feel whilst providing great support'

    So I am curious as it says it's the same ratio as the 'medium' firmness one at 80% down and 20% feather but I would have imagined that a 'central chamber' takes up more than 20% of a pillow.

    It could be that these 'medium-firm' ones are cheaper as the central chamber is filled with more feathers and less down compared to the 'medium' ones which are also listed as 80% down, 20% feather.

    Having said that, I organised SuperKing sized 'medium' firmness ones for £40 each which is a good price, thanks OP for putting this up and reminding me to organise them.
