    Don't save it as an mp3

    If you still have the original cassette, record it to Audacity and save as .WAV or .FLAC

    Use something like Burrrn to write to CD.

    Add them to iTunes, create a playlist and burn that.

    Windows Media Player can also create audio CD's from mp3 files as can most any CD burning software like Nero or CD Burner XP.

    mp3 is last decade's compression technology.

    Unless you need to play the files on an ancient player that only supports mp3 you'd be far better ripping the tapes as .wav then converting to aac

    Mediacoder or dbPowerAmp are good options.
