Thanks for the posts guys, appreciate your support,

Couldsave, so annoying when that happens,

Beanie & Kerri, thanks for the good wishes. I do try to be organised but it doesn't always work.

Been a god awful week at work, ending up sobbing my heart out at my line manager. Told her I felt like handing in my notice, I'm seriously considering stepping down from my management position and continuing as 'just' a teacher for now, until I find another job.

Anti depressants seem to be kicking in a bit, but still very low. A plus to this is I've not spent any money since Saturday. :rotfl:I've still got £18 in my purse, don't need anything from the shops and will probably still have the money in my purse tomorrow when I get in from work. I'll add it to the other money I have in my pot, almost £35, (coins at the end of the day plus left over at the end of the week money) so that will be an extra £53 paid off my credit card an will mean that the one I'm throwing all my money at at the moment is under £1000 at long last :j I'm hoping it will be completely paid off by the end of February.

Looks like we were both typing at the same time lol I know what you mean about visitors, thankfully it's nice and quiet at home, need it after the noise and bustle at work but I know what you mean about half of you wishing you'd just got everything done, even if you did enjoy the visits.

I desperately need a haircut too, I'll end up looking like Igor at this rate lol

Did a whole pile of marking yesterday and one lot of washing. Today changed the bed and did another load of washing, trying desperately to find the get up and go to do some housework but I'm sitting here procrastinating by flicking through a magazine and browsing online.

    I should be:-
    • Going to a photographic meetup at Canary Wharf (cancelled as I just can't be bothered)
    • [STRIKE]Cleaning the kitchen[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Making a curry and finding something other than sandwiches to eat[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Hoover[/STRIKE] & polish living room and bedroom
    • Clean[STRIKE] bathroom [/STRIKE]and ensuite
    • [STRIKE]Take the rubbish down to the bin[/STRIKE]
    • Do some more marking (did some prep instead)
    • [STRIKE]Post a cheque[/STRIKE] that needs paying in to my bank (another £100 off the credit card)
    • [STRIKE]Put a couple of things on fleabay[/STRIKE]
Hey it looks like I managed most of it... :D
Moneywise, I'm not spending much. Did £40 worth of shopping which included tights and far too much chocolate. Won't need much shopping next week.

Have decided to take your advice beanielou. Thank you. BTW Hope you're feeling better now
  • sometimes it is nice to sit and relax. I'm sure you deserve a rest. especially when you've done all that marking. housework will always be there if you can do a little here and there it gets done I try to do something every day so I dont have to spend the weekend catching up unless I want to. but its all very difficult if you dont feel up to it or are so busy you dont have time. my main problem is visitors we have 4 grown children with partners and children who like to visit and we love having them round but it takes up our spare time.

are you feeling any better in your self, has work settled down a bit or not. I think you are wise to wait before making any decisions

I felt in the mood for more de- cluttering so have done quite a bit. we have had visitors for Sunday lunch which has been nice and relaxing.

going to spend the evening crocheting doing a blanket and need to get so much done every day if poss.

i managed to get my hair done friday night at last so I look a more tidy and the grey covered up.feel more human now.

    have a lovely evening
You can if you think you can .

Hey MP, just popping in to give you a hug. There's nothing wrong with taking time for a cuppa and a flick through a magazine xx

If you don't mind me saying, you sound like you have a tendancy to put a lot of pressure on yourself and (like many of us) can be very self critical if you don't feel those standards are met. You're doing fab, facing things head on and doing something about them - as beanie say 'keep plodding' and we're all here with you to lend support xx

Yes as one of my friends says, I have a tendency to wear my underpants over my trousers... As Larkin said,

Philip Larkin - This Be The Verse

They f*ck you up, your mum and dad.
They may not mean to, but they do.
They fill you with the faults they had
And add some extra, just for you.

But they were f*cked up in their turn
By fools in old-style hats and coats,
Who half the time were soppy-stern
And half at one another's throats.

Man hands on misery to man.
It deepens like a coastal shelf.
Get out as early as you can,
And don't have any kids yourself.

Perfection is the trait handed on by my parents...

Been snowing here today but it's not bad really. just a light dusting. I think it will be worse when it starts partially melting and then freezing. All I need to another fall to really screw up my knee.

I'm on a bit of a roller coaster at the mo, nowhere near as bad as I was but still tending to go up and down. The positive upshoot is because I don't want to go out and socialise I'm not really spending any money apart from necessities. So well on target to clear several hundred pounds more off my debt next week with the aim of paying off finally my first direct gold card next month and then the few hundred pounds I put on my Clydesdale card in order to buy my new TV before Xmas in March.

That will leave me my Creation Card whose 0% deal finishes in the summer. about 5k on that, will have to find a short term 0% till I can finish paying it off.

Anyhow, I am settled on the sofa with a fleece. I've cooked a massive chicken casserole with choritzo (whoopsied chicken in Mr T on Thursday night) will have that with mash tomorrow. Put loads of thyme, black pepper and paprika in with the tomatoes, a real 'what's in the cupboard' meal.

Going to get some more marking done tomorrow and sort out the flat. Will try and do myself a task list in the morning:D
