    Debt-free and Proud!
    Afternoon all,
i've been on the look out for reduced christmas decs and wrapping since before christmas, but have found none (except the sort no one would want!). the supermarkets round here started getting rid of their seasonal goods before christmas - couldnt even get full priced tinsel a few days before. its been getting harder each year to find things, but this year is the worst. sainsbobs this morn only had a small shelf of seasonal reductions and that was all broken things.
5 years ago I used to get all my wrapping paper, cards and lots of gifts for the following year straight after Christmas, this year, nothing. Ohh except a t's value christmas pud for 47p. which i've got put by for next christmas, only because none of us eat it but i always think i should buy one.

    moan over!

Whoopsies round here pretty awful too - hardly ever anything taken off.

roll on a big glitch please :rotfl:I too want a loft/garage like henlans/extreme couponing !

anyone seen or heard from aau1, dont think i've seen anything for while... but only skim most of the time.

But going to learn trouble is the nearest tesco is 13 mile round trip, so too much petrol just on the off chance.

There are a few regular families at my extra from Darlo but not as far as I know MSErs. Sometimes us locals can't get near for the scrum that often ensues. Not that I'm saying anything about people from Darlo of course...:rotfl::rotfl:

depends on the size of the bathroom... mine stays lovely and warm, and downstairs loo gets too hot!

Mine in the bathroom heats the room beautifully!

But the trick is to not cover the radiator in towels, make sure there's uncovered rails left to heat the room.

i too live in bungalow and agree but my dds have decided they want to share a bedroom and we are trying to save more money for a bigger deposit as i dnt want big morgage, so we are looking to move 2 a 2 bed bungalow if possible but if not then a house as i need my own garden, i shared one before and ended up doing all the work and theres kids used my kids stuff and broke some of it and hid it in bush :eek::eek:

i live ina detached bunglow the best bits are

no having to carry washing down stairs or back up :j

no shouting for anyone as they are on same level as you :j

no climbing stairs late at nite intoxicated (i dnt drink but good for others )

i have 2 bathrooms so big benifit for me with 2 kids :j

no up and down stairs checking kids as they are right next to us :rotfl::rotfl:

easy to move in to as to negosiating the stairs with beds and wardrobes

    DOWN SIDES

everyones to close to me :rotfl::rotfl: joke

easier for peopel to nose round when they pop over but i solved this one by putting a baby gate at the bottom of the 3 steps to the bedrooms and family bathroom :rotfl:

i cant realy think of any other ones as i realy enjoy living here just to expencive i culd pay my parents morgage 3 times and have change if i ddint pay my rent its a fortune to live where i live so decided better to put money in our morgage fund rather that our landlords plus the bungalow is up "for sale " for £250,000 but no-ones looked at it and its not got sign out side as its practcaly a privet rood so no-one wuld see it ,and its never advertised in local paper or estatagent windows you have to go ask :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

yippeeee, more positives, thank you :D

Don't think running costs can be compared unless it's a like for like size house and the people using it, I have hot water underfloor heating downstairs and radiators upstairs, the one bathroom downstairs has both,my kitchen is about 6m x 7m and is open plan to the hall thats another 6m x 5m with a gallery stairs so just these two areas eat the heating, my kids and there GF/ BF all have 20-30 minute showers:eek: , the oil delivered today £968 will last until end march maybe into April but we are in the north so it's quite cold and the heating is set at 21C but with all variables I don't find it economical .
