Anyway another up date on daughters future m-i-l who is still in ICU, I think they tried to bring her round but she didn't respond earlier, wont breathe on her own. But she did blink when asked to tonight so she is responding a bit better.
The surgeon came to see her yesterday and tommorow she is going to have her surgery - I don't think they know exactly how much will be amputated yet but it will be some fingers at least. I don't suppose they can wait much longer if they have had no blood flow since Saturday they could cause more blood poisoning if left.
It's odd the things that really shock you to the core but the surgery and the though of the worst case amputations I am finding really upsetting,
when she fully wakes up and then realises what's happened, goodness how she is going to take it. But she has fought her way through this since the weekend, so she must have a lot of fight in her to get this far.
What a rough time. Hugs to all :ASmileand hopefully the world will smile back

Well it was a nice little bonus but the main thing was to get my car changed. A quick fag packet calculation suggests the new car will save me about £27 a week in running costs. Thats a fair saving and on a proper MSE budget should make a difference to me.0 -

They are absolutely in bits, mentally physically, emotionally... The dad is a broken man, she was literally hours from death.
She did absolutely everything for everyone - none of them had ever done a thing around the house.
Eldest child has been training her bf over the last 12 months to do domestic things like using the vaccum, washing machine and iron and he can cook some meals so he has been able to help his dad and brother keep things going at home. Nana has taken over the washing though, my daughter has done the shopping and sorted fridge out. They are trying to keep things as normal as possible which is exactly the right thing to do however impossible.
It's very much a case of living from day to day“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

Do you think it is because we look at things with a fresh pair of eyes at the start of the year?
Maybe visit the doctor about an unusual symptom, make decisions about our animals, bring things to a head with family etc
What do you think?
Well I know my mam hates time off work, she always has to be busy so spent her days off before and just after Christmas scheduling appointments, writing letters and making phone calls that she usually puts off; she gets stressed if she has nothing to do! So in that case I'd say the time off could affect people as well...May: Make £5 a day £115.38 / £155

Looking forward to saving lots of pennies but living like a queen:)
Same here - probably quite mad but it does feel like the start of exciting times.
Mainly I am keeping frantically busy, thinking positive thoughts, shutting out the negatives and by force of will i am going to make 2013 fantastic and exciting and wonderful and I am not going to let it be any less.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Funnily enough, mam's just changed her car (We car share as I can't afford to run a car) and it was cheaper to insure! She traded in an 02 Clio and got a 09 Astrahave no idea about running costs but that Clio was falling to pieces!

Sorry to hear she needs surgery and her fingers amputated
I hope all goes well and she starts to breathe on her own.x0
