    Evening all.
I've been to Tesco tonight for the first time in over a month and I was really pleased I did......as I discovered that just down the road they have opened a Home Bargains. :j This is the first one Ive heard of that's been opened in the West Country

I know lots of people have posted finding really good stuff in there so I'm hoping to go next week when I have more time and have a really good mosey. I did bag a couple of the oven pride cleaning kits for £2.99 each which is a real bargain and that stuff is fantastic! you just shove everything in the bag, pour the solution on, leave it to work then just rinse off.

Hit whoopsie time for the fruit and veg in T's too, which will help with my diet which Ive started today (again :o)

ooooh :j where in the sw please, tia

I posted 3 T PP receipts yesterday around 1pm, I normally receive reply by the next morning, but none as yet. Is anybody else finding they are taking a bit longer over the last few days?

Morning all. Slept soundly, and without interruption, overnight so I'm reasonably okay. Just noticed I'd forgotten about the Nescafe Gold Blend Refill (300g) in my post 8297 on pg 415. It's currently £6 in M (which makes it £2/100g - not the lowest price I've seen recently - that was £1.62/100g - but the more usual 'low' price (per kg) that the supermarkets go to. Pedantically, however, I've not added it to the earlier post - Sains. is technically cheaper, at £5.98, at the mo. so it's A vs S (for those whose (only?) coffee is Nescafe).

Many of the products on Tv M (once T has details of M prices on its PP - this excludes NI here), or just buy straight at M, are still on offer at M - my 'bugbear' of T Eday Cornflakes, which were 35p - I have just seen T have reduced them back to 31p (so maybe my forcing them to match M's prices and more has worked), M Savers Cornflakes are still 31p. Keep going with your loose bananas in NI on your PPs vs A folks!! The Hartley's No Bits jams (strawberry) or (raspberry) 454g are 74p, Sugar Puffs 625g £1.49 and Trebor Extra Strong Peppermint (4) 79p in M.

I was finally up to nearly 1.30am, so if you asked a question yesterday, I may have given my answer between about 10pm last night and 1.30am.

    Have a good day.

(Funkyfeet, I'm a Crunchy Nut nutter too so I think I'll be very tempted by this again. The Crunchy Nuts were the very last offer I spotted, one of the corner of my eye, as I left M last night, and a very good job too.)

Me too, but I know the law and if they even tried to look into anything of mine they would have a very nasty shock.
People need to be firm with this sort of thing, they have no right to track you, cc points ok as its a marketing thing but asI said before, the data protection act is quite clear and even banks are not allowed to look into anything without due cause and these things are tracked and monitored for our protection.

Good morning all, hope things are good in the world of the elite :)

I would just point out that there is an exclusion to the data protection act that allows an investigation to take place where wrongdoing is suspected. It pretty much overrides all your rights in that instance.
The data controller or police only need to have a whiff of something iffy to potentially justify looking into your account/s.

They could have simple flags built in to show up when a 4p item is purchased. This could then start the investigation.
Having a flag to identify these items can be justified by the company saying it is part of their fraud detection system as opposed to a tracking system.

There are all sorts of ways around the law if you know how to word your t&c's

I'm not saying it is right or wrong, just pointing out the reality of modern life.

I went to Morrisons last week on the 2nd and the had bertoli gold on offer for £1.20 so I bought one! well by the time I got through the checkout I was in a rush to get my bus so I didn't have time to check my receipt. when I arrived home on checking my receipt they had not only charged me the full price of £2.40 but I had been charged twice so I rang the store and they advised me the next time I was in the store to go to CS so that's what I did today and the explanation I was given is the offer had ended on the 1st but they hadn't removed the sign so I was refunded the £1.20 and the £2.40 for the one I didn't buy should I have expected some kind of compensation as they do in Tesco or is that the normal for Morrisons.

They (M) now have Bertolli 1kg on at £2 (although I didn't pay enough attention to whether it was the light or reg. version) and I thought people may already have butter with the recently ended T diary coupon.

To answer your question, I saw some frozen veg SEL hadn't been removed recently in M - having bought it, I went to CS and they refunded me the difference. One of my local Ms also kept their SEL offer on the Flora butter on a little too long - resulted in me buying in A but, as I save so much anyway - and sometimes feel sorry for A (!!) - I let them keep the little extra on that occasion (probably took it all from them again later).
There wasn't any equiv. in A to the frozen veg I bought.

[Edit: the Bertolli 1kg is the Bertolli regular - they (Morries) don't seem to stock the Light version of the 1kh Bertolli - at least not the Morries store I checked anyway.]
