  • Borrow/buy one of those plastic seats that fit inside the toilet seat - kids like those. Makes them feel secure that they are not going to fall down the toilet:D

    That's what we have :D

Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

    ...............................................

  • Well done to you both. :j:j
I seem to have gone round in a circle with my ds. He's had a wee and a number 2 (both on the same day) and now won't do anything else. He holds it in and won't stay sat on the toilet when I take him. He piddled on the carpet 3 times yesterday and then got upset bless him. Any ideas on how to help him along would be very welcomed :)
    What about these

Hi Tweets, feeling better than I was thanks. Been lurking a bit. Went out basic shopping yesterday but then needed a sleep. Feeling a bit better for a while, then yucky again. Mustn't be totally better Tweets, as I haven't been near a shop today:(

Loved your story of how you got your Poppy :)
  • my o/h wanted me to learn in his sports car when i meet him , hes very laid back and taught me well , then i found a lady instructor after have 3 men ones and did few weeks with her and pasted , im so gr8full to my o/h like you say gr8t

Luckily I had a female smoker instructor, I had a 2 hour lesson on a Wed evening and we always stopped for a fag break halfway through; I passed first time :j

Not to say that I'm not very proud for having quit smoking but it helped to have someone who knew where I was coming from :D

David.. So true. I have a few bits and pieces that I inherited from my mam and dad. Some of it has value and I probably would part with them for that reason if I was ever short. Some things, that most people would describe as tat, I would never part with. Things like the wooden handled hooks that mam and I think nana before that used to make hooky rugs and proggy mats. I sometimes hold them knowing that their hands must have spent hours holding them. Gives me a feeling of connection again.

Fairclair Hope you find a way to do what is best for you, both in terms of memories, peace of mind and financially. Where abouts in France is the property?

You are obviously too young or came from a well off background to not have seen a proggy mat:rotfl::rotfl: They rae now coming back into fashion as a bit of retro-chic. In fact, DW is booked on a rug making course in Darlo next month.:)

Thanks for reminding me of these artha. We used to have these and have made a couple in my youth. I too thought that they ere a North East thing

Now, moving on to Sports Mixtures. David. I love them too ...... or I used to before they changed the black ones to purple ones, like in midget gems. They just don't taste the same. Unless my memory is playing tricks on me, they changed the overall recipe too, as I don't think they are like they used to be in my youth

It has been very moving catching up on all the problem people are having, and missing loved one, etc so lots of ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) to all who need them

  • It makes me feel glad that we do not waste in our home and that we help others when we can because of all the glitches and coupons. How many lives have been touched by the generosity of you all? Thank you to the Elite, every one of you for your support and ideas as without this thread my family would probably be surviving from a food bank too.
