Phew;)It worked:TIt's pretty strong stuff, one of DS's shirts is now a different colour:rotfl:But far better than the pink it was before;)

its good stuff but strong so i never put my hands in it. I now use colour catchers in every wash ( made by Dylon I think) and they work like a dream.

I've finally managed to get some whoopsied double cream @6p per tub! (Only taken since the beginning of 2012 to find it). and now, predictably, I can't find the instructions that were posted on here for making butter. I've found some instructions on Google which are fairly clear to begin with but look a bit complicated at the 'rinse' stage - if anyone could kindly let me have the Elite version I would really appreciate it. Also, can I add a bit of salt at the beating stage ? Thanks in advance for any help !

    Taken from here
    http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2010/feb/24/how-to-make-butter

Pour the double cream into a cold, sterilised mixing bowl. If it's homogenised, it will still whip, but not as well. If you're using raw cream and want a more traditional taste, leave it to ripen in a cool place, where the temperature is about 8°C (46°F), for up to 48 hours.
Whisk the cream at a medium speed in a food mixer until it is thick. First it will be softly whipped, then stiffly whipped. Continue until the whipped cream collapses and separates into butterfat globules. The buttermilk will separate from the butter and slosh around the bowl.

Turn the mixture into a cold, spotlessly clean sieve and drain well. The butter remains in the sieve while the buttermilk drains into the bowl. The buttermilk can be used to make soda bread or as a thirst-quenching drink (it will not taste sour). Put the butter back into a clean bowl and beat with the whisk for a further 30 seconds to 1 minute to expel more buttermilk. Remove and sieve as before.

Knead the butter to force out as much buttermilk as possible.
Fill the bowl containing the butter with very cold water. Use the butter bats or your clean hands to knead the butter to force out as much buttermilk as possible. This is important, as any buttermilk left in the butter will sour and the butter will go off quickly. If you handle the butter too much with warm hands, it will liquefy.
Drain the water, cover and wash twice more, until the water is totally clear.

Weigh the butter into 110g (4oz), 225g (8oz) or 450g (1lb) slabs. Pat into shape with the wet butter hands or bats. Make sure the butter hands or bats have been soaked in ice-cold water for at least 30 minutes before using to stop the butter sticking to the ridges. Wrap in greaseproof or waxed paper and keep chilled in a fridge. The butter also freezes well.

My hubby is opposite, learnt at 18 and most of his employment has been driving so he is a right know it all. He says the same to me when I ask for directions 'You should get your head out of your kindle and watch where we are going and then you would know when you have to drive yourself'. I was 41 when I passed last June after 2 years of lessons. My hubby has no patience at all with my driving and thinks I should try harder, he doesn't get the fear.:o
I learnt to drive at 30 passed my test on the Friday and on the Saturday my Area Manager (also OH) sent me to Newcastle from Manchester :mad::mad: I was that annoyed with him I didn't have time to worry. Still don't like going right at round abouts though.

    WELL I REALLY AM SHOCKED.

im amazed how much support ive received on here from people i only know virtually.. thank you all so much.

from what ive read on the internet and the symtons ive had...convulsions, biting tounge, wetting myselffalling flat on my face etc...i think it is definately epilepsy (hopefully scans will show)

i think im more scared of what it is if it isnt...epilepsy...

i will be lost without my car..(i only brought some new car mats last week)

the 1st holiday is paid for with clubcard vouchers. the other only the deposit is paid...(rest is gaining interest in my bank until last minute)
if i do lose the car we will get a taxi to the 1st holiday (got a quote £120 each way).. the second holiday we will cancel..

luckily i already have a bus pass (dodgy joints hypermobility)

on another positive i dont work as im a carer for my wife (she has mental health problems and a rare form of epilepsy (vision and sounds)) so at least i dont have to worry about work..

my little dog has been spoilt rotten today...my wife wont let me out alone incase i fit again..

my dog is a rescue lad from battersea at old windsor.he is so loyal and friendly. (what people say about staffies is so wrong)

im so tired and achey so im going for a lay down...thanks again for all the support it is really appreciated. if i dont reply please beleive me..im not ignoring you im just knackered...

i will let you all know what the GP says

plz dont think you havent been "working " a carer in my opinion can have a harder job than a 9-5 job , iknow i was a carer for my o/h for year or 2 and it was hard , i bet nowhere near as hard as what you do , be proud of you self,

hope you enjoy your holiday and have you thought about seeing if theres a shared bus going your way for the holiday -- few years back me and friends we going away and the bus to airport was £400 so i went on line and found a bus company that was doing a journy o airport and we had to pick up another family on way but was fun and we had laugh and made few friends for that hoilday as they were going on same holiday, the cost was £30 each so £15 each way ,

hope doctors are quick with results, and plz take care :A:T:T
