I must turn in, hubby has an op tomorrow, needs early brekkie etc..........terrible trouble with work, they only let me have one day and hospital made me sign that I would not leave him alone for 24 hours after discharge.
You'd have thought I worked for some back street sweat shop, not a major high street bank.:(
They had the cheek to say they were too busy, well don't worry about somebodys life!!!!!!

Hope everything goes ok for husband's op tomorrow.

just used my 2nd body shop card for my £5 birthday gift. they had oils for room burners half price at £2 each so i got 3 of these. the 10% card discount came off as well. so i got all 3 for 40p. so you can use them on sale items. :D

Thanks, I got in a bit of a kerfuffle in there yesterday, got body spray and mosisturiser - total £5.50, then 10% off then £5 birthday, meant only came to 4.95 - he insisted I find something else, so ended up swopping one for something more expensive - paid 18p

Further to my earlier dog poo exploits, the car footwell appears to be poo-free. I couldn't see very well as the only torch I could find was an extremely feeble dynamo thing in the shape of a penguin - I tried to charge him up by pressing his wing but not a lot was happening - but I couldn't see or smell anything so here's hoping.:)

I have such an image in my head now Mildred pmsl :rotfl: :rotfl:

I have decided that I need to watch what I eat this year.
As pattylabelle can confirm I am quite round and a lot of that is due to all the junk food glitches we've been having. We need many more glitches on healthy stuff or non-edible. I have spent the last hour sorting out cupboards and have a box load of stuff going to my cousin because I don't want temptation in my way. I have kept some for DS and anything with very long dates that he will eat but they have been put in a box under the stairs.

Good luck to anyone else who's giving up something to become a bit healthier

I agree - we need a good glitch on fresh fruit & veg. Trouble is quite a few of the fresh items (that, in non-glitch times represent the best value) don't have comparable equivalents. As others, comparable, usually represent worse value, and we don't know that they are going to glitch, I'd never know to buy them. (One we need to check, on a Saturday morning - we need to wait till Sains puts a multibuy back on its 4pk tray Pink Lady apples - is the Sada pink lady apples (4) once A also has a multibuy back on.)

Regarding non-glitch however, please can someone check (who's in Sains. today) the weight of the Sains Dessert Pears packs. Normally the conference pears A versus M would have been the right route - except that, I don't know if anyone else has noticed, the size of the packs at M has gone down significantly - or rather the pack size seems the same but there are fewer pears inside and a lot more air. The weight of the M Conferences has gone down from around 800g to 600g. (It now looks like the A version has followed suit.)

Unless Aldi has pear packs back at something like 69p - or even better 39p - and I'll check today when I'm there later, it seems the Sains Dessert Pears, which have just gone down to £1, may now be the better option - but we need the weight to be checked. If it's 800g or more, it would seem (barring the Aldi situation) pears are best bought in S - and possibly as a filler item on a BM shop, whether vs A or vs T.

I'm waiting for the T Eday value pears, which were 69p a pack a week or two ago, now at 94p, to go back down again so I can buy the A Smartprice pears packs once more (they're currently at the same 94p, which, when T's comparable pears are 94p, is too high for me given their weight I think).

Please can someone let everyone know the weight of the Sains Desserts. Thanks.

[Edit: I'll also add now, before I forget, and also to stop a belated follow-up question, roughly how many pears are now in the Sains. Dessert pears packs? Thank you once again.]

[Another edit: Can someone check Lidl, regarding pears or other fruit, and let us know any low prices. TIA.]
