It's been puzzling me for a while, how do most people even afford to eat these days?

The amount of wombles I've picked up with 10 - 12 items with a value of over £20 and a basketful of stuff at the most.

If I had to pay full price for what I needed my fridge and cupboards would be bare apart from a few value things and whoopsies...but instead it's stuffed with nice yummy things most of them branded or good quality...it's scary to think what most people would have paid to fill their cupboards like me!

This is why the Elite is so valuable - it isn't just one person it's lots of people keeping their eyes peeled and working together to make the most of glitches and bargains that make such a difference financially to all of our lives.:o

Bring on the glitches on 2013!

    :beer::beer::beer:
:) Learn from the past, enjoy and appreciate the present and work to make your future the best it can possibly be :)

    And get lots of glitches!

Hi everyone and a Happy New Year to you all! I am looking advice from you experts regarding APG.
Just to tell you a little about myself I am a divorced male and I am retired on a state pension so as you can imagine I have to be careful regarding spending.

I started using coupons and voucher’s a year ago and prior to doing that the amount of cash I had left by my next pension day would only be a few pounds; I have a free bus pass and plenty of time to go to most of the supermarkets so I basically follow the bargains and coupons free samples etc. Providing I have use for them.

I bought a large chest freezer to go with my split fridge freezer to enable me to batch cook meals and buy some items in bulk and freeze sometimes I find bread reduced to 19p so I will by 5 loaves or milk reduced and freeze them so at the moment they are both pretty full.
The amount of money I have saved over the last year has amazed me I have no debt and a £1000 in savings what a turn around, and the bonus is on top of that is I am eating like a King and trying loads of different types of food.

When I go shopping I will go to a supermarket with a list and armed with my coupons etc. Making sure I only get what I went for unless I come across some Woopsies! So quite often I may only spend £5 or on times less but I will do this in a number of places Lidl, Aldi, Morrison’s, Tesco, Sainsbury, as I said I have a bus pass and time.

So going back to the APG I don’t think there is any advantage for me or is there? I have now turned this into a hobby and I just love it when I get some things for free or for pence there have been times when I am at the checkout and have 2 bags of shopping for a few pounds it’s just amazing if I had done this throughout my life I would be a very rich man now.

So thank you all for the tips I have already received and if anyone can give me some more please do so as they say in Tesco every little helps
Low Carb High Fat is the way forward I lost 80 lbs

Since first using Martins I have saved thousands

What a lovely post Viv :D Sometimes it is worth buying something in A instead of T because A offer you an extra 10% off the price if they are not cheaper. If you buy tea bags for example in A for £3 but they are £2 in T, you will effectively get £1 back on your APG (£3 - £2) PLUS the extra 10% that A claim to be cheaper (10% of £2 =20p.) The tea bags that were £3 then have cost you £1.80 (hope I don't sound patronising in anyway :o) You sound like you are doing fabulous so carry on what you are doing :D xx

Happy New Year everyone, i also am going to try to come out of lurkdom and post more, not today though all the shops are closed round about, yesterday was madness with people panic buying, you'd think they were closing for a week instead of a day.
  • Got my parents coming round for a meal soon, then taking son to his part time job to be picked up again at 10pm. He can drive but insurance too expensive. The sun was shining for 20 minutes but hiding now. Really need some sun for the lottie this year.

I will try & post more this year, I did try and post my two wombles a few weeks ago and all I kept gtting told was 'There are too many characters'! even though it would have been a small post, so gave up. Will try again if I ever find another womble in my very clean carpark (of receipts only, every other type of litter is there). The weird thing is, is that my sada is in one the most deprived, filthy, litter strew cities in the England but the car park is pristine! PJ clad women, fights outside the door when security refuse to sell more alcohol to the drunks/druggies, dozens of kids loitering outside, etc.

Hope every one has a glitchtisious new year and long may the resolutions last!:)

what car dose you son have ?? as my brother was findidng it expencive to insure so i told him majorly down grade and see what happends he went from paying £3000 to 485 over night:eek::eek::eek: he sold his brand new car:eek: and got a micra like me cheap as chips to insure and try quin direct and put you as a named NOT MAIN driver will help or you o/h culd

but never main driver as thats illegal (im sure)

ROSE im glad you finaly see what you need to do and im here to suport you all the way;)
