And doing a re-quoting of the quoting, like a Dave, now (but tinyshoes and spiralingdown have beaten me to it with posts in between - and best not to encourage this re-quoting behaviour, end up babbling around to myself in a minute if I'm not careful...)
Just to say that's all from me for tonight/these early hours, and sorry I've managed to mess at least two people's potential shops around, and cause a glitch scare that turned out not to be, but at least discovered the diary 2 for 1 is mix and match on the cheapest items free before it was too late. I'll have to leave you with this information, and the rest of the info. we've had on here, all of it piled together on top of each other, to sort out the best shop using those the diary voucher. I'm sure, as you read this thread, you're more than capable.
    Good night.

Chicken pakora;s a less well know dish in Scotland, as it's mainly confine dto Chinese takeaways. Meat dishees fill you up early and suppres your apetite . In Scotland vegetable pakoras are a common starter and I've seen it in fish & chip shops and pizza parlours and pubs as swell as more obvious outlets. It's not so filling but the sauce is really tempting (and hard to find outside Scotland IIRC)

I'd love to be corrected on this!

In NI they're sold mostly in Turkish Kebab shops my favourite one used to be just round the corner from me when I was pregnant with DS, they got to know me very well as I had weird cravings for sweet fried choc bars and their house kebab sauce or their pakoras. They were the first ones on the block we took DS to show him off because we'd become good friends over the months. Between them and the ladies in the bakery and Co-op he was very spoilt :o

    I've never visited Scotland.
Hope you have a lovely time with your family.

It's well worth a visit. I went to an old friend's funeral in Scotland years ago and we were all reminiscing about his many travels abroad.

At one point it dawned on us all we couldn't recall him ever crossing the border to England ( in fact we realised he had only ever visited countries he could fly to from Edinburgh or the Glasgow airports).

It's worth visiting as much of the UK as possible, is my opinion.:)

    :):):) No worries.

I'm hoping my store has some of the lamb steaks in the offer on RTC soon. Could do with a few of those. ;)

I was really lucky the day I got some my store had reduced them all to £1 a pack so would have worked out £1 for 3 but I ended up with them free as I got some RTC party food too. :D

I think I need to go shopping with you, well done!!

A big massive thank you to everyone for todays wombling efforts and workings out. I stocked up on a few bottles of fizz, I shall post my results soon. Multibuy on pampers came back correctly, lost me £3 on APG, but I needed them anyway.

Have seen them in Indian takeways but not a big crowd-pleaser. Not amazingly sure kebabs are as big a thing in Scotland - I suspect the fried food late-night takeway niche is already a bit well-filled with local delicacies.:rotfl:

It'd be a bit like trying to sell porridge to people who're already used to the sugar content of Frosties! :D
