Im sorry that you had to suffer like that :(
Thanks me too. But im just one of many. Im not going to dwell on it. We are going on for 7 years since she passed and if I try to over think/analyse it then I just put myself in one of my dark moods. Just like the others on here I have my experiences of various NHS hospitals/GP's and even pharmacy giving out wrong (dangerously so) medication. Not even a "sorry". TBH I just don't trust the majority of them....but I would be happy to be proved wrong in the future.

If I had the cash I would never subject any of my family to the NHS. Which is a very sad statement IMHO.

Happy birthday, calmspirit & Tigerwhite hope you both had a lovely day. :bdaycake:
Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas, I spent it in Conwy, N Wales with family but missed 2 of my children & 2 gc who couldn't come. Got drenched on our Boxing Day walk over & around the Sychnant Pass but views and hot chocolate made it all worthwhile. :)

I'm fine thanks bubbs, missed you all, kept thinking I would get 5 minutes to pop in but just had to go on autopilot to get everything done. Especially after freezing the SS till in my local Ts getting a few packs of party food. I had it in my head it took off £3 for every 4 packs and not £4, pressed finish and pay and ended up being 20p in credit. Grabbed a bar of choc but was too late to scan anything else should have remembered (think it was) Miss Laid's tip when the OEP was glitching of doing a "sub total". :rotfl:

Bumped into Dodo Christmas eve at one of our locals and between us managed to get a few packs for her too. :T But we were both too late around 4pm for any reduced turkeys, no sign of any even full price ones. :(

..I wandered in to my local at exactly the right time!
    They had severely over-stocked.
Got 3 big turkeys and three duck crowns - £115 down to £11.50, on top of the 11 free chickens from a couple of weeks ago I now have a very poultry 'stuffed' freezer!:D

Have to agree with regards NHS if I had the money I would go elsewhere.

I was hospitalised for 6 months with placenta previa. One night a nurse tried to give me an injection to stop my blood from clotting. Even argued with me about it, saying I must take it. I spent half an hour explaining I would be dead by the morning if I had the injection. She just wouldn't listen, treated me like I was nuts.

I showed her my notes where it said I was losing lots of blood every night and explained I needed my blood to clot to survive it.

She flounced off in a huff saying it was my life.
  • Ooh, I've just had a parcel delivered - a beautiful posh Jo Malone candle, very fancy indeed. And no word who it is from!
