    Why would you want to?

I've been on JSA a few times and quite frankly, the money is bloody awful. I don't know how people claim it's easier to live on benefits because thats certainly never the lifestyle I've had from it. Admittedly most jobs don't give you any sort of lifestyle these days either but at least it's a bit more than the dole.
Myths & nonsense pushed by clueless Tories & tabloid media which keeps idiots happy.

Re the OP on dodgy job offers, which is what this thread is about, I feel that the JCP / DWP / UJM need to realise that a considerable amount of jobs are agency jobs, so do therefore do not exist. I just put in my search terms - on the first page, 18 out of 25 were "agency" or "cv Warehouse" posts. If they could put on a "non agency " filter, it would make the whole process a lot more efficient.

CV Warehouse jobs are those on Monster I believe

The thread I think is for fake jobs

There is a post on here where a bloke has posted a FAKE job on there with no checks to make sure he was who he said he is
    see this video

    Thanks you for sharing AP007.

That is an absolutely disgraceful security breach on a government promoted website. So the UJM site is just a no rod-license personal data fishing pond for low-lifes of all descriptions - not just recruitment agencies?

    the post is here

I am sure this guy is not a scammer or he wouldnt put it on here to show us all.

Most other sites check all details before they let jobs be advertised.

Maybe they need to charge to stop some of these fakes jobs getting on there

There has been jobs for 'princesses', '!!!!!!' work and all sorts that of course have been reported and taken down.

No one with a brain will apply for jobs like this but what seems like a normal job is harder to spot but not if the companies where checked or called back or some kind of check done.

I mean never apply for a job where the company has no website and things like that.

It will give access to millions of people's data in future.

Scammers can trawl it at their leisure.

It is shocking that DWP & Jobcentre have stooped to this level allowing this uncontrolled spam onto this new system.

    It corrupts & devalues it.
  • the problem with Universal Job Match is that the employers specify whatever they want on their ads. i see ads that says its in my locality then with i look at the ad its actually 200 miles away (they actually write that the job is xyz in the advert). This should be stopped i am sick of wasting my time going through jobs that are not there for me to apply for! I find this site is a total waste of time, i tend to use the individual ones and indeed.com which is a portal similar to ujm but i find is more successful in finding me suitable opportunities to apply for!

So true. So very true. I'm now working part time, no better off financially, but feeling kinda good because where's the pride in being a scrounger?!
  • i have changed my cv so that they employers only know part of my name and that my email address is another one that is forwarded to my real address.

i think that dwp should have given this site more thought and omit personal details on cv's and allow people to either use a username or a nickname in place of their real name.
