Hairdresser it is then! thanks all!!
Can anyone recommend any really good deep conditioning treatments for after?0 -
I find henna wax is great - it doesn't contain any henna colour, just wax - or coconut oil
(just don't slip in the bath if you use the latter!!)

So! I pre-lightened which stripped most the dark reds an browns out of my hair. Did a strand test for a bleach (just to see how light it would get it) and it did nothing. So I decided not to bleach it again as it seemed unnecessary if it wasn't tuning it yellow! I do have the brightest blonde roots but the gingerest lengths lol!
So I've brought an ash blonde colour today, it's supposed to tone down orange and put a cooler pigment on, so hopefully this orange will be gone soon!
Without a doubt, this will be a long process, but I can't wait to get to a blond colour!
A hairdresser looked me dead on the face and told me it was impossible. As she stood there with black eyebrows and peroxide hair.
Getting the orange out is gonna be the hardest bit, but as I can see frontage lengths even now, I've got some very blond streaks. It's certainly not impossible!
My hairs also in great condition. The pre-lightener was definitely nice to my hair than bleach ever was!0 -
More than likely her eyebrows are tinted though
and she may have been a light/ash blonde to start with
My husband on the other hand has DARK blonde hair but nearly white eyebrows... if it wasn't for the sneaky grey hairs people would easily think he dyed his hair
I'm used to it now but it use to bemuse me
I interestingly wanted this look too and asked my sister (a professional hair dresser, worked at an equivalent to Tony and & Guy abroad and has done TV work and won international competitions for some VERY outrageous hair creations) - she told me to not do it... and I'm a medium ash blonde to start with... so being siblings I asked my local and usual hair dresser... who also told me to not do it PMSL...
So now I'm going back to what I usually do... high lights and low lights but with more extremes and some copper chucked in too for varietyDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
My DFW Diary - blah- mildly funny stuff about my journey0
