I'm #85 and I have reduced my £1000 overdraft by £400 so I'm at a £600 overdraft now and I'm also having driving lessons
Going well
I'm living rent free for six months as I've moved back in with my parents whilst I'm on my university placement which will save me a lot and then I shall use my September student loan to pay £300 more of my overdraft off and use the rest for driving lessons.
I pay £5 a week into a christmas savings scheme at work so will get approx. £250 which will sort out my christmas presents for people0 -
Another small payment from me.
#110 Pd £2517.26 / £5000 - 50.34%
Have been reading everyday on my ipod, but not been posting too much, have been really busy the last month with work and with buying a house. The sale was completed on wed 21st Aug.
Haven't been able to pay much of my debt as have had to pay out for things as we went along and all was paid in cash. Have managed to pay the ground tax for the rest of this year in full and have also paid my dh and my life insurances for a full year. Have also saved money for the removal van when we move in the next few weeks. Also had to give 3 mths notice on our old place so have to pay rent and morgage for those 3 months, through this thread though I had managed to save the rent money for the 3 months..PAYDBX 2020 - #01 Pd £15,029.29 / £13,140.66 - 114% 🎉

I'm back -and it's all gone to pot. Have had so much to pay out for, everything has gone wrong and I'm very embarrassed.
Our total debt is now a tiny £1062.39 less than when I started this challenge. which basically means we are back to where we were in March.:mad::mad:Long haul supporter #290POAYDBX2014 #043LBM Dec 2011 Debt £51K Debt Nov 2014 £42K0 -
R-O: but it hasn't increased, £1000 less is still less than where you started and you're on the right path don't forget that
hugs though xx and lovely to see you back.

Thanks. Have had my head in the sand for the last few months in true ostrich stylee
but updates snowball yesterday and our DFD has gone back to Feb 2017 now, which is utterly depressing, and I'm not changing it on here as I WILL get it back to 2016, somehow!
Problem is that EVERYTHING is costing more now, our food bills are over £100 a week, utilities just keep going up, and our budget is pared to the bone, so there is literally nothing to cut back on, which means that in emergencies we have to use the last remaining scraps of spare cash on our maxxed out credit cards.Which is okay (ish) when things are going well, but when we get hit with an unexpected expense, car needing work, kids needing new school shoes or clothes -13 year old growing like a weed now -we don't have any spare cash.
Still, we'll get there, eventually!Long haul supporter #290POAYDBX2014 #043LBM Dec 2011 Debt £51K Debt Nov 2014 £42K0 -

do you live near a local farmers market? Or a fruit and veg shop? I'm sure we can help you there xx
