Looking to rent at the moment for about a year - 18 months, then when we have a deposit together we'll be looking to buy somewhere which will most definitely be in Bath. OH and I have had a chat and decided the out-of-the-way-area of Bradley Stoke, Stoke Gifford with all the new build houses might be best. We can get a 4 bed detached for the price we pay for a 2 bed flat at the moment. This'll mean our parents can come to visit, I can have an office/messy room, OH can have a room for playing noisy computer games, and it's still a cycle route away from his work so no trains. Plus I already know where the nearest shopping centre is.minicooper272 wrote: »kerri are you looking to rent or buy? A new place is really exciting - and I'd go for Bristol. Last year' quite a few of our staff left to move to Bristol, they say it's a great place, and it will also be cheaper than Bath!
Pahahaha whoops, sorry yes it was meant to say HelenPie. But you all knew what I meanthis_missus wrote: »Say Wha'????? Congratulations? Should that have read "Helen Pie" as I'm neither expecting nor a payday away from Debt Freedom :rotfl:
Car is going in for its MOT in an hour, it's been serviced recently so fingers crossed it passes with flying colours. Last time the garage said the brakes would need doing sometime soon, I couldn't get my head round why on it's first MOT it might have dodgy brakes, it's only 4 years old this year. Hoping the council run MOT centre will pass it without trying to make me get work done to it. Otherwise repairs will have to wait until payday.Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Spagbol, the lady who runs this thread is on holiday, so isn't around to give you a number, but join in and update us when you pay some money off and Spagbol will be back in a couple of weeks to give you both numbers.
Welcome
Thanks 32b3in2013
,
just waiting for payday to really start clearing this blinking thing .
The good thing is i should be getting a bonus this month, so that is going straight towards the debt. Can't wait to get this challenge underway

I am amazed, Cardiff council passed my car with flying colours, no mention of the 24% brake wear at all. What an honest bunch of blokes
I even bought them some french fancies to say thank you. MOT passed, £45 down but not a penny more. Although I need to get the tracking done on the front.
I appear to have slept away the afternoon, I didn't realise I was so tired but my ankle hasn't been right since I came back from holiday and I thought I might try to sleep it off. Ankle still hurts grr.Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Checked my bank balance this morning....
:j:j #032: £2,950 / £2,950 100%!!!! :j:j
As you might remember I'm not technically debt free because I still have a car on finance and sofa credit to pay but we decided they would not take priority this year (and the sofas are 0% anyway). The car will be next year's challenge
For now though, all my other outstand debt is paid and we will now focus on savings! Target is £3,500
