. Between us me and the wife have 600,000 points. There's plenty of Homewoods and Embassys close to Disney. Some as low as 22,500 / night too. Same points for a nice Homewood in Charleston, SC for this years trip too!
Yep. I'll ping you if we decide to go there. 15 months away so might be in a while!Murphy_The_Cat wrote: »If I can help about the Dunedin area, please ask
p.s. I started booking up some of my hotels last night. Good stuff, isn't it ?
I love planning holidays. My mate who's going to LA hates it so I'm doing his for him!0 -

niiiiiiceeeeee points
I've been caught out by a few Homewoods wanting (say) 25000 for a 1 single bedded room, but 40000 for a rwin bedded room - but the room cost in $$'s is the same. :mad:0 -
That is a handy tip. It is amazing there is a Santa Barbara flight to LA! having drove that distance last year. I would never have thought about hopping on a flight at Santa Barbara. I know what you mean about driving in LA mind  Those eight lane highways. Thank God for me Sat Nav. There is no restriction on baggage on that flight?0

Nopes, on;y the standard 1 checked bag of 23kg/50lb and a piece of hand luggage
. If we were just going to LAX, there would be a $25 charge.
Happy Times
p.s. from Sataa Bub you can get to San Fran, LAX, Denver, Phoenix & Seattle.0 -

I stopped off in Santa B last August for one night while driving from San Francisco down to San Diego and did not even know it had an airport.0 -

& there is a decent sized airport at San Luis Obiso as well !0 -
I imagine many/most passengers would not be ending their journey at LAX. They'd probably be connecting to a longer haul flight there.DesertWind wrote: »It is amazing there is a Santa Barbara flight to LA! having drove that distance last year. A bit like changing at Crewe or Clapham Junction.

I have flown from Bristol to USA cheaper than flying from London in the past, although not direct, it saved £600 as there were 6 of us and 3 hours closer to home.
It's all a bit weird though isn't it?
I am going to USA this summer. Fly to Atlanta indirect, transfer at Chicago £775. So perhaps Chicago direct would be cheaper? Nope...... £855.NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0 -
