Dunelm Mill sale

  • Went to the Preston Dunhelm today and successfully picked up some bits I'd reserved, noticed they had a large basket of the 99p cushions near the back. Nothing to my taste but they had a few different designs, didn't notice the cassette ones but a few flowery ones and quite a lot of black and white New York scene ones, HTH :)

Picked up 3 cushions instore in Wrexham. 2 went for my dog's bed :p: Had a dog duvet cover to fill and she loves them :D

The bigger ones (for my dog's bed) were 5.99 down to .99 so excellent :)
  • Dunelm Mills seem to have good bargains online, but beware. I spend a couple of hours choosing items and when I went to buy them I discovered that 1) Dunelm will not deliver most items 2) the vast majority of items were not available to pick up at any store within a fifty mile radius. It seems that the only way I could get what I wanted would have been to do a tour of the UK picking up the odd item and one store here and another there.

In short the whole thing was a complete waste of time. Dunelm surely can do a bit more to tell customer that the items cannot be delivered and stop wasting customers time.

Then maybe you should be telling Dunelm this?? :p
You were only killing time and it'll kill you right back
  • It might be worth popping in to a store if you have one near to you (obviously dont make a special journey just in case its a wild goose chase). I only say this because I had reserved a mirror that was in the sale and when I went in to store yesterday there were loads on the shelf. However when we came to put it up today there was a small mark on it so checked the stock online and it said there was nothing available. Call me a cynical but i cant see that all those mirrors would have sold out yesterday! Only a thought as it might just have been the stores near me :)
  • Loads in store today - bought new rug and some lovely cushions in the sale. Obviously not much help if you don't have one nearby though ;):rotfl:

I mentioned this on another Dunelm thread, that I've never managed to reserve anything online as they never have any stock near me.

Absolutely be aware, disappointing. I reserved 5 of the 99p cushions and bedding, called up to asked if my item is available as I receieveed email and text massage saying the item I reserved is ready for pick up, the lady over the phone do a quick check and say 'Yes, apart from bedding.' I said it's ok I will still pick up the cushions. Arrived there, the lady flip the file, get someone to get my stuff... and it turn up only THREE out of FIVE however on their form it have been mark five and left aside for me. I was speechless, it was nearly 10miles away.. I just don't know how to react when she told me 'sorry, there is only three available'.

So it seems calling up to check is useless too because they just flip their file and check if item been pic up and put aside in store room.. and some other store assistance would decide to nick it for other orders!!
  • Waste of times i have placed an order 4 times over the past few months, and had confirmation email and order ready to collect email, only to turn up and no items in stock. They need to sort out their systems as it is not just a one off, it happens all the time.
    :T :T
