Daughter woke me at 3.40am so had a quick look online and low and behold 75% sale started, managed to get the following online.
Sanctuary Spa Favourites
Sanctuary Signature Fragrance Gift Set
The Garden Collection Lavender Collection
men-u barbiere pure bristle shaving brush with red stand and Free 15ml buddy tube of men-u shave
Sanctuary My Spa Moments
No7 For Men Perfect Shave Kit
Went to the Southend on Sea (Royals store) with my sister in law, got there for 8.20 and were the only 2 there. By opening there were about 12 people. Got quite a bit in there, mens fcuk, No7, umberto ginanni hair stuff, ted baker bits, nandos sets, sanctuary winter facial set and a few other bits.
Then walked up to the Boots in the Victoria center and get a couple more bits. They had lots of the ted baker vanity cases and a few of the £65 no7 sets and the £25 no 7 sets
Please with my haul, not as good as last year but still happy. All done and dusted for another year.:)0 -
Nothing whatsoever left on the shelves at the Leeds City Centre Boots after lunch today. Just 3 aisles of empty shelves with a few rolls of Chrimbo paper and a couple of packs of cards dumped at the end!!!0

Went to my larger boots store (Tunbridge wells) at 8am spent £100, saved over £300 on over 40 gifts !! thats going towards next xmas although.. some of it might be TOO good to give away... hmmm
They had about 8 isles FULL of lovely things.
Then went into my local store (Tonbridge) it's much smaller, so wasn't expecting much, but maybe a few bits i couldn't find in the larger store... however, was told by shop assistance that they'd been instructed to send the majority of their stuff to the biggers stores !! I was really shocked at that, so basically, if you live in my home town and don't drive.. you get nothing !!0 -
No, unfortunately it was to sell on, which you cannot stop them from doing but they were denying people like me who wanted to use it from buying. I felt that was wrong.
Anyway it's over and done with now.
I dont get why people are so anti...buying to sell on. If it works why not, everyone has the same chance to be first in the store and buy as many as they want.
Its a free market economy.
PS
I got a few things this morning, only spent £30 mind and that included 12 bottles of travel soltan for £11, but if they had run out when I went because one person had bought the enitire store...well so be it0 -

I agree with you. I think some people forget that not everybody works for someone else, where they are virtually guranteed a wage.
As a self employed person, I can tell you in order to survive most of us have to look for oportunities to buy and resell for a profit everywhere, including sales like this.0 -
Are any of you guys who are planning to use the gifts for much later on in the year (like as late as when the next years batch of Boots gifts will be out) worried about the recipient realising/knowing you got this from last years stock and worse realising it's from 50/75% sale? Especially as everyone seems to know Boots gift stock range inside out nowadays or can recognise it a mile off anyway and knows about these sales.
I had my birthday just after Boxing day and ALL my gifts were from Boots half price sale! We had a laugh about it and it was fine because they were literally still being sold in the shops and at half price they still paid out quite a bit. But i'm not sure how someone would feel if they were given something 1 year old. I'm asking as I am planning to do the same thing too with some of my gifts but i'm wary of embarassing myself & them if they realised it was that old & paid very little for them.0 -

I normally seperate gift sets and put the items in a gift bag alongside other things, even if its just a packet of sweets. That way nobody knows the stuffs a year old0 -
Talking in another language made them intimidating? You are a complete and utter moron.
It's cheap gift sets that you didn't get.. Not the reason for you to be outwardly racist.0 -

Good idea for things that are usually sold anyway! But there are some things that are only sold in the Boots gift range and items that can't be split. Like the Twinings tea tray set/caddies, mirrors, or toiletries set where the vanity case "makes" the gift special.0
