  • I went into Harpenden this morning before work.
It's a small store and there were only a couple of people who weren't even aware of the sale till they went in.

I managed to get the big no7 box that I wanted (last one, phew) but not the nail varnishes. I spent £33 which isn't bad at all and used the double points voucher I got in the post the other day.

I need to pick up a prescription later and it's going to be hard not to go and have another little browse!
Redundancy isn't fun - comping is!

Are you allowed to return things bought at 50% off? I just bought some things at 75% off which i already bought at 50% just incase so now i have double the amount. Wasnt sure you were allowed to return make-up/gift sets etc for health and safety? Doesn't matter either way tbh just wondered.

If you still have the receipt, it was within 28 days and they are unopened then yes, you should be able to :-)
  • Home now - goodies in loft , sort of in sorted bags!
Spent £127 ( spent £300 last year) got what I wanted as have cut back on present buying from last Xmas .
Lots of big sets left , not really what I want / need, mainly got men's stuff for boys birthdays and Xmas.
Off to work now , boss thinks I'm at dentist! Wink wink!
Hope you all had a happy time at Mr Boots!
See u all next year! :rotfl:
:money: I will never be rich but I'm happy :rotfl:

Yes couldn't believe the amount some people were grabbing. Managed to get a no 7 box, thanks to the nice person who told me where they were. Bought more than expected but didnt go too mad. Noticed after buying that downstairs they had more no 7 boxes and some champneys boxes. Don't think people saw them in their rush to get upstairs lol. X

Yes I noticed the big sets after I had paid. I dare say they will soon go!

There was one lady who had I want to say a wheelchair but Im not sure, nobody sat in it she had about 8 big dove sets, 3/4 no 7 sets. Other women with big ikea bags full. It was civilised but busy and a struggle to get down the second aisle where all the sanctuary/fearne etc stuff was but I got there in the end. Overall really pleased with my purchases! :money:

  • Just got back from local store, not many people, one mum from the school did a pram at one end and kid with basket at other though, she seemed to be getting a stash.
one child got a tray land on his head bless him, his mom had put it on the shelf and it fell off, i tried to catch it but missed then started to laugh and said thats the boots sale for you! his mom was a nice lady though and admired my champneys bag. not sure who grabbed them all as only about 5 customers, i got one and was at least 10 on shelf??? but disappered immediately!
i offered the bag to sales assistant as last year she never got told about sale poor woman and she works there every day, she was a bit shocked but said to keep it for myself so i did:o
just got a set of champney minis, some hair mini s for holiday and 2 sets of fcuk body spray sets for the oh and my son.
dissapointed as no no 7 makeup stuff at all though but still using my vanity case from last year so havent ran out of makeup yet:o.
did hope to get a case or set for my mum this year:(

  • Just been into Fareham store, there was a group of at least 10 adults clearing the shelves into massive bags and being very rude and inconsiderate of others. My little girl was holding a Dora puzzle in her hand and she had it snatched away from her with a man replying "if its not in a trolley it's still up for grabs" - W***ER!!! I managed to find another on a bottom shelf, put it in my basket and get to the till and it's not there. These people really ruin it for the rest of us who aren't going to be selling it all on ebay!!!!!

I intended to spend £15-20 but got carried away and spent £33.75 (total saved £89.25). Best buy was a Twinings Tea Tray, 2 mugs, tray, tea towel, loose tea and infuser for £3.50. :)

Nice! Would have loved one of those but haven't seen them in store for weeks.

Hello to anyone from deal! Was outside from about 8.50, only 8 of us there and was very friendly and we all had a laugh. More people than last year but no elbows needed. Helped a few people get stuff out of their reach and vice versa, very civilised, but it is a small town!

    I managed to get:
    Nutella loaf tin £3.50
Umberto gianni glam hair set £2.50
Soap and glory large set £15
    No7 make up palette £4
    No7 nail set £2.50
Great british bake off pie dish set £3.50
    Gift tags 37p

Was very pleased with my bargains, especially as there are only 2 items in the soap and glory set i wouldn't use! Loads of large champneys left too (i don't think anyone bought them!)

OMG!!! that's absolutely terrible! I can't believe anyone would take from a child! I would of smacked him one if he did that to my son! I hope your little girl gets something else :(

I nipped into my local Boots (Wimbledon) this morning - a few people were there - 1 had a whole basket but others weren't sure of brands etc like I was.

    Managed to get:-

Joules Wake and Wash for Men was £20 - now £5
Betty & Walter Sumptious Scrub was £18 - now £4.50
Cute or What chirpy nail polish set x 5 was £10 now £2.50
Cute or What Bath Fizzers was £5 now £1.25
Soap & Glory Wowed Mouth Lip Palette was £12 now £3

    all above at 75% off.

also got Philosophy Tinsel Town half price £8 down from £16 and Philosophy Have a Cherry Christmas £14 down to £7

    Paid £34.25 for above at 75% off + £15 saving £15 saved £72.75

got a bit confused with how to use points as I had £350 points if you spend £35 in one transaction and then double points generally I think I just got double points.

But £72 saved - WOW. all for present drawer for this Christmas or for cute birthday gifts.

I stuck to named brands like S&G, Joules etc. Others may want other brands.... no Gok or Sanctuary but 8 products for that price am delighted!

May pop back later to see if anything else left and with sanity intact!
