Got an order done online this morning after much messing about, used the 15% off code wus £100.

Just back from Glasgow Sauchiehall Street, nice and civilised, just people filling a couple of hand baskets. Got as much as I could carry :)

Was still a lot of items left, loads of the Ted Baker, No.7 and Champneys more expensive sets. Most of the smaller items were going quick.

I too was there, however yes it was civilised I did see a couple of women guarding several baskets that were piled high on a different aisle as well as about the same again on the floor??? U only wanted a couple if things which I got but despair of the people who grab everything off the shelf :(
Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.

  • Just been in store before work. Wow! Could have sworn Boots opens at 8.30 but I got there just after 8 and it was already rammed. I always plan to get there for opening every year but never manage it. This year I did and I have never seen anything like it. You couldn't get down the isles and people already had overflowing and multiple baskets.

I didn't buy anywhere near as much as other people, but still think I bought more than I actually needed. Got swept up in the excitement!

Just goes to show how many people MSE reaches. If it wasn't for MSE surely hardly anyone would know about the sale?

The amazing thing is that I still made it into work on time!

In work now. Leamington Store opened 8:30am, queue formed 8:20am I got in it not wanting to miss out. When doors opened there was about 20 of us in the queue but it was all quite civil. What I got -

No 7 set big box £16.25 (so pleased I got this)
    House of Holland box £2.50
    Slippers £3.50
Sanctuary winter face £5 (wanted this before xmas glad I held out)
Princess Tiara set for my niece £2.50

    £29.75 total

Overall I got what I wanted, i wanted the no7 set, winter face set and I wanted to try house of holland so got a small set. Needed new slippers and just got a little something for my nieces bday in April as it was on cheap. In and out in 10 mins, no queues at tills. I was pretty shocked at the amount people were picking up but each to their own. I got what I wanted so happy day for me!

    good luck everybody else

Just got back from Chester. There was a big group (maybe 25 people) at each of the main doors before they opened. People were fine, no sweeping of shelves that I saw but it was manic and it was hard to get to stuff just because of the sheer volume of people. A couple of people had phenomenal amounts of stuff - one woman had six of the blue bags and was still going when I left. I do understand that for Boots they just want shot of the stuff but I was a bit bowled over at how much people were taking.

Got the things I wanted (cased the joint yesterday) that were there, if that makes sense. A couple of things had gone since yesterday, must have been staff (and good for them).
  • I've just been to my local store and got to witness the crazy semi-organised groups for the first time. 5 or so women with a massive stash, taking what they could off the shelves before sorting through the bags and chucking what they didn't want back on the nearest shelf. Most the other shoppers seemed pretty relaxed about the whole affair, although I did hear a sales assistant asking someone if she'd had an email tipping her off about the sale.

I got the items I wanted, and used my points so I'm happy.

I could not face getting up and going into town this morning after waiting up stupidly late for it to go live online. Our store only had 3 small ailes out unless they restocked last night. We have duplicates so will be taking stuff back.
Well done all those shoppers up and out this morning who got what they wanted.
Online has almost been wiped clean, stock all gone.
  • I was finally able to submit my order at 8.20 am this morning after trying for nearly a hour. Got everything I had my eye on and some other bits, Really happy and all at the comfort of my sofa. Nearly lobbed the laptop through the window though many times within that hour.

  • Just got back from the Market St, Manchester store and it was MANIC(no pushing around but there was a guy with 10 baskets full of stuff and his other half was grabbing more!) I got in 5 minutes past 8 and it was already jam packed. There is a lot of Champneys and Dove and a lot of Xmas wrapping left.. I wouldnt bother if you were after the kids stuff as they were all gone!
  • Woo hoo, back from town and so easy! Got to store as it opened at 8.30, no queue, hardly anyone inside (some may have been fooled though as the signs on the door state the store opens at 9am, when the website shows 8.30)!

No pushchairs or trollies, only one and half aisles of stuff no not much opportunity anyway to block them, LOL.

I intended to spend £15-20 but got carried away and spent £33.75 (total saved £89.25). Best buy was a Twinings Tea Tray, 2 mugs, tray, tea towel, loose tea and infuser for £3.50. :)

NOTE: If you get chance in store, please check the contents of any boxes, as my Ted Baker mini hat box was missing the body lotion.

    Happy shopping everyone.:j
