  • Oh dear Freespirit and you were trying to be so mse!
Well rain here today, such a let down after 2 beautiful sunny days - was actually getting hopeful that spring was on its way.
Went back to SW last night having taken some time off due to there being too much carp going on - oh dear ! All I can say is I am still lighter that's when I joined last year, but the last 3 months have undone a lot of work. Met an old school friend last night for dinner, so today am back to the plan. Must get back to swimming more too.

omo we're off up to london in december, dh lived there until he was 14 and i spent many a summer growing up there lol but we're going to see the xmas lights and do some shopping... he wants to show me some old haunts.

    feisty its lovely as always!

msmoo that would be exactly my luck! its one of those you have to laugh moments isn't it.

freespirit well done on exploring by yourself.. i was getting that way after i had dd4, from being quite a social body i can now count my 'friends' on less than one hand :S don't remember doing anything to make people stay away its just happened, im quite happy in my own company though. i've started walking my doggy when dd4 is at nursery and taking my camera along too as photography is another hobby. Get some funny looks often lol.

Ty for the heads up on clothes... though noticed 2 of the items i bought in store yesterday were in their sale online grr lol nm.. picked up a santa candle holder for 89p he's a rather happy chappy... nearly got some of the 9p wreaths to knit some more up but couldn't carry them.. doubt they'll still be there when i go up next but nevermind.

  • Feisty that is a lovely paper cut! Gosh I wouldn't have the first clue how to do something like that! I think it's a lovely present, I would be very happy if I received one of those for my wedding.

OMO a break in London is a great idea. I lived there for two years and really didn't make the most of it, so now i'm always wanting to pop back! I think your dd would love it and you're right, people come from all over the world to holiday there so why shouldn't you??

Welcome back Nanamia! I actually read your post as you returned big, as in the size of you! :p

Freespirit as OMO said marathons start with one step. It's great that ypu felt you could make it out and hopefully this will be the start of many more for you. xx
  • Feistyfidget - I love your wedding papercut. It is exactly what I am looking for for a gift for my nephew's wedding next year (not until May 14). I have liked your facebook page and will be back to order one later in the year!

I have been in pain from my shoulder and arm all night and today where i think he wrenched it when i had to pull him back :o i dont know how the heck my DD1 does it??

OMO-I dont think its strange to want to go to London, as you say its our capital and its so full of history and interesting things to see! I was actually driving around central London near enough yesterday actually, that story to come in a minute haha! Booooook it

I don't want to worry you, but you didn't end up in any zones did you. You have to pay to drive in them. How central in London did you get ?

Everyone here thinks it strange because I was born there and lived there so long. Everyone keeps saying ' what ja want to go back there for ?'
I go back every year to visit my Gt Aunt, but we don't get to do anything else. Last year we saw a show, had a look in Fortnums :D and had lunch at Planet Hollywood, but that was the day gone.

Yes that's what I want to do. Show her our old flat, that's now worth about 1/4 of million. Hackneys quite trendy now.:rotfl:

    Feisty

    xx

Nobody who lives there ever visits anything. That's why my friends can't see why I want to go back.
Sometimes on a Sunday, when it's overcast I think, ' oh if we where in London we could have gone to the History Musuem today. But when I was there I never thought of it. But then I didn't have kids then.
I expect people who live inland can't understand that we never go to the beach, which is 2 miles away. I don't like sand, but also when something is on your doorstep you know it will be there tomorrow.
The funny thing is, we love going to Gt Yarmouth, which is about an hour up the coast. When there, we go for a walk down the sea front, pop in the amusements and have chips. We would never do that here.

I have a plan ( OCD) of everything we are going to do. When I gèt the laptop off dd I will post it. ( am one phone at the moment).
I am quite looking forward to a busy holiday. I don't do relaxed very well, I get bored.
  • OMO I completely understand what you mean, I also live very near to the beach and we're lucky to go once a year.

I think a trip to London will be amazing :) There is so much to do there! The only thing that would worry me is the cost, we have ended up paying out over £100 on a 'free' trip to the Natural History Museum before :( Many people comment it is far cheaper to go abroad, but I understand this perhaps isn't possible for most (I don't even own a passport ;)) and I think it is wonderful to see holiday money staying within the UK - a definite boost to the economy :)

fatblackandwhite looking forward to working with you :)

Thank you all for your lovely comments, now if only I could magic up some sun to take the official shop photo's :(
