  • I've got a prom dress to sort out too. I have to make my dd's one which is fine if she would get on and decide what she wants. She already has a punky style dress that I made her a couple of years ago and I think she is going to go for something long and princess like this time. She hasn't even made up her mind about the colour yet never mind the style.

I think the code I mentioned only gives free p&p over £50 and not even sure that you get an extra 15% on top of clearance price. I have tried and can't seem to reduce the price on another order I was going to make.
  • Rosalie-Lavender same here ...probably black or a dark colour I think my DD will want, no idea on style though, just know she doesnt want traditional :)

Just a reminder, if anyone able to get into supermarket early on Friday they will have all their Valentines gifts etc heavily reduced - sometimes able to get lovely bits for Christmas stockings. Last year I got a gorgeous fluffy pink hippo lavender heat pad thingy that you microwave? was £10 down to £3 in Sainsburys, my DD loved it. They have some homeware thats heart shaped which might be worth a nosey if its reduced that much
  • So excited - have decided on Cologne for Christmas Market visit. There's a chocolate museum and Lindt shop - worth it just for that!!
Will be keeping my eyes open for good deals. Am I allowed to be this excited for next Cmas already?!!:j:j

I went to cologne in December and stayed right by the Dom. Wonderful markets. We ate in bier kellers to keep costs down. Would go back. Went on eurostar then train to cologne.

This is going to be amazing! I can't wait to see those photos!

Guinea pigs have had to be moved into the lounge as my craft room is being cleared tomorrow. The in laws are giving me a welsh dresser, so need to shoe horn it in somewhere! I hate clutter, but it is just too gorgeous to pass up - plus I'm sure we will need more furniture to fill the new house ;)

  • Morning all!

Jeez, now I remember why I tend to stay away from other threads on MSE! the Valentines meal deal thread seems to be turning into a self righteous lecture about the fact the prices arent 'real' and blah blah (actually I just checked my M&S receipt against one from December and the prices are exactly the same in the meal deal before the offer!) Why do people think its ok to lecture others?! live and let live ... or !!!!!! off! Theres' always one who starts with the 'you are wasting your money' routing *rolls eyes* in my experience M&S meal deals are never a waste of money and they are a lovely treat!

Am very pleased with my Christmas pressie hunting this week, have got the DS game for DS along with a really nice Man Utd tracksuit top from their shop sale which I know he will be pleased with, and the JL thing for DD which is her favourite colour and I know she will be really pleased with that.

Need to start a spreadsheet, mine is a scribbled bit of paper! ;grin:

I love the Marks and Spencer dine in. They are good for the money and not a waste. We picked one up on Monday as hubby is not back till Friday with being away working so we treated ourselves to one Monday night. We picked up a extra side and strawberries and the prawns as I had to slightly adapt it with me following Slimming World and it came to 29 quid. The bottle of wine alone was marked up at a tenner, We picked up the steak as the main so we had quite a bit for our money.

We were unable go out in the evening as we struggle with babysitters especially now my mother in law as had a hip replacement and is currently recovering, so it was worth every penny. How many times do people waste money on take out pizzas and Chinese. Its no different except with these the quality of the food is better.

Sorry its late, Happy Birthday ChirpyChick and everyone who is celebrating birthdays this week. Busy sorting my daughter birthday presents out and plans for next month, Its a quiet one as she is going away with the school so costing me a fortune there and she wants another trip clothes shopping. As they get older they get more expensive. All I can say is thank god for MSE:rotfl:

The works had some dk wool for £1.25 today also on their 3 for 2 so 300g's for £2.50. got 3 balls of royal blue, 3 of a pink , 1 skin colour and 2 a nice brown which will do hair if i decide to put hair on the girl elves lol. Not sure what todo with blue and pink yet. just liked the colours.. possibly some baby tops or blankets. Also grabbed dh a large pack of nerds.. think its 5 flavours in one box for £1.99 (none in our poundland yet) his batman memory stick has come for his vday gift too.
