In my experience,those who choose to buy a CO alarm mostly;

1)Dont read the instructions
2)And therefore dont fit it correctly
3)Because they have binned the instructions,they dont know what the various beep codes and flashing lights mean
4)Therefore most CO detectors beep because they are incorrectly fitted and/or they are at end of life/battery fail and not really alarming.

I think you only have to read the top quote it tells you it's an emergency number, however i do agree that the OP's first post could have been written better & not just listed a phone number with no explaination as to what it was for.
