Quite an effective video I think.

We have an alarm, it went off a couple of nights ago. We nearly wet ourselves it was so loud. It was just the batteries needing changed thankfully.

Hard-hitting, but a must-see. Remember folks, any symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning, turn gas off, ventilate property, and call 0800 111999 immediately, 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week.

what a lot of folk do not realize is that co can enter your home from a neighbors property this video reflects such a incident in a indirect mention at the end and I have posted a link in the solid fuel section as again you can get it from that too,

Why don't you just tell us what it's about?

I don't like clicking unrecognisable links. It sounds like it could be definitley be something that could silently kill my computer if I do

I just called the phone number you have given.

They said they were the National Grid and that number is the emergency one for reporting gas if you smell it!

Please, do not call the number except in an emergency.

Carbon monoxide is a by product produced by fossil fuels, gas etc when it is not burning properly and it can kill and do so very quickly, the gas emergency service are the people who come out to make you safe when it is gas related. You should also seek medical advise asap if you develop symptoms

I am sure your intentions are the best but as wywth points out, posting a link with no explanation with a phone number which looks like a information number but turns out to be an emergency number is most certainly not the way to be helpful!

it scares me that a number that appears on your gas meter, on all gas bills , on every gas supplier website, and on carbon monoxide alarms is not known by so many and when they do see it they mistake it for that of the gas supplier.

Personally I would like to see a useful numbers guide issued or sorted out by every home to include this number, the councils and their out of hours number, drs and out of hours drs, local hospital and police station also emergency plumbers etc

Being a sweep I amongst others are very aware of co poisoning and its effects.

Silent but deadly killer yes but you could go back and alter the first post lemontart just to give more info on what the thread is about.

Perhaps a link to co awarenes http://covictim.org/tiki-index.php?page=Who a registered charity that help support families of co poisoning would be a good idea as well.

I also thought a number such as the National Grid 0800 111 999 was a well known number, pardon me for saying so but to just ring a number is a bit daft if you dont know what or who it is, why not google the number first ? certainly no need to have a pop at lemontart thats just rude and ignorant.
