Waves out of the conservatory as the Vallis go by.

I'm stuffed. Oh is clearing up. Ds2 was very excited this morning and we have had only one meltdown. Ds1 didn't have a lot of presents as he had money from his Grandparents and ski clothes etc from us. He is off to the US in Feb. :eek

    Merry Christmas Everyone x

    May have to have HHSnooze
  • RT, I did take it easy! well, everyone pitched in last night.....that long nap with DS did me the power of good...the usual tradition in our house is to open just ONE present each before the holiday, so that kept everyone buoyant and happy enough ..we were all up peeling veggies til 1am at the dining table except DS he decided to quit at midnight.

Turkey started tanning itself at 5am, I got up at 7, made pastry for vegetarian pies for DD2 and DD3, and started the Skint Ritz plan for food.

We managed to get the green garden table in and washed & sterilised about an hour before the food was ready (I don't normally cut it that fine :eek::eek:) and there were no meat contamination incidents to report - dinner was served at 11.45, DS had managed to snaffle down F0x's party rings from DD1 stocking so barely ate anything, and by 12.30 leftovers had been bagsied, the DW had been fed....and DS was worn out asking for a nap.

I have managed a 2 hour nap with him, but I don't quite have enough GUAG to take everyone down the beach to blow off some seasonal cobwebs, so I am having a lurk and a cuppa upstairs before getting the hoover around to downstairs and straightening up abit (the wrapping went out after it was all done).

I hope everyone one is enjoying their food and time with their loved ones.....flying has definitely made this holiday a lot easier to deal with, I couldn't have done it without you lovely flyladies and flygents :T:T:T:T
The cold never bothered me anyway

In my HHSnooze I was awoken several times by DS2 screaming as he couldn't do some toy or another. I have a cracking headache again. He is now attempting a science museum toy with OH and there is much shouting from upstairs.

Someone spilt the gravy so tablecloth is in the wm

    Glad everyone helped SB5

Hello all and merry Christmas. We are all fed, two granny's gone to bed with littlest moo. Bigger moo wants me to play fire stations with him and two grandads are trying not to fall asleep in front of tv. Me and mum made dinner, I carried the plates back, the gents washed up / loaded DW and mum sorted leftovers. I've just done the steamer and slowcooker. MIL is excused as still hobbling.

Kiddies have had a bit too much excitement so DS has been outside twice on his new balance bike, and DD gone for nap. But we haven't had much in way of tantrums. DS can read his own name, so he raced through all his presents where I think DD might still have a couple left.

But they both seem happy with their lot. And have been well behaved considering all the visitors and new things. And they seemed to enjoy all sitting down together even if they were too giddy to eat. DD just wanted to dish her own food up, bless her, so we gave her a teaspoon and a bowl of peas, which kept her happy for 10min :D

  • Hi folks. I would like to join you guys again. I followed this thread a while ago and then bought the Flylady book 'Sink Reflections' and built up my own routines from there.

However, I am struggling again and could do with some inspiration and support as I am back working full time and am often so tired when I get home I flop onto the couch and zero gets done other than eating dinner and dumping dishes in the sink.

I will have a look at the routines and ideas back on the front page and try and use the holidays to get to grips with things again. First thing has to be changing the bedding on our beds. That is for tomorrow!

The floor is swept. The DW is going round and the tablecloths are sizzling round in the WM. DH has had one too many brandies and is tucked up in bed.

Christmas dinner was a jointly cooked affair and 15 sat down for dinner. We played games and laughed and laughed.

    A lovely day.

    Merry Christmas everyone. Xxx

Hi there - and Merry Christmas to all the lovely fly ladies and gents.

It sounds like those posting have had a lovely day, and are full of Christmas dinner and joy!

Here are more good wishes for further fun and good food for the rest of this festive season and hopes that all naughty children and animals behave (speaking as someone who has given cards with muddy paw prints on them and wrapped gifts with a cat sat on the paper!)

A special thought to those alone this week, and I hope you are enjoying some yummy food, tv progs, books and music of your own choice.

I've talked so much today I'm now resting my voice after my umpteenth cuppa and watching a lovely little tv programme about the Bee Gees and all their fab music, but the residents at my home had a lovely day, but sadly some with no visitors or cards at all. They all had special treats from us, however, and had as much extra time as we could give.

Tomorrow, I get my Christmas dinner and we open our pressies, so am looking forward to that!

Good wishes all round and I hope you all enjoy the week. Love R xx

PS Meant to say, thanks again Natty for the updated lists! X

Just a quick post before I head upstairs to bed. Lovely to hear that so many of you had a great day, and to see so many familiar names.

Thank you to my secret santa. I love the diary and can't wait to use the the mug.

DH's birthday today. He's off to watch the match in the afternoon and DS1 is back at work, so I'll be taking him for a 3pm start. Otherwise no plans yet.
