Total P _ charge

Hi I am posting on behalf of a lady who didnot relise what she was told

She parked her car in a Car park compound with a ticket machine and the usaul notices.

yes she got a charge notice

( Because she mistakenly thought she was allowed to park there with her free on street parking permit on display as she was doing volunteer work at the lifeshare Project for the homeless.)

All above aside can she still ignore the charge notice or will it have to be paid due to her entering in the fenced off total P car park?
I know if it were a retail park she can ignore it but this is different
Thanks

Was the "ticket" issued by the council, or a private parking company?

The most the landowner can sue for is whatever the displayed P&D charges were, so if she parked there for 2 hours and it's £1 an hour, they would have lost £2.

Is "Total P" on the BPA list (first time I've heard of them)?

Can't see a Total P here, except for all the Total P iss-takers listed! :rotfl:

If a person gets a fake parking ticket from a non-AOS member, then they will NEVER get any letters about this unless they are daft enough to appeal and hand the PPC their details on a plate. Make sure the lady knows not to reply or appeal or contact the scammers at all, GT60. Even if it is a BPA member she can still ignore them but will get the usual letters - maybe you could reply (only if it's a BPA AOS member) and say YOU were driving? I would.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Make sure she owns the car as well, if its a company one or hired/leased there is slightly different advice
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.
