    Long post disappeared......pah.

    Ebay listing - Done
    Renewed Car Insurance - Done
    Poo Patrol - Done
Lunch made from nothing! - Done

Off now to make sure DS and I have clean clothes for tomorrow (back to work/school) and bake a loaf of bread for pack ups tomorrow.

Just hope my body clock will cope with the early start. Oh and found a Tesco £5 voucher in a pile of stuff. Result.

Had a sort out in the paperwork cupboard!!!!

Oh My. Now have begun an attempt to file away some stuff. Worthwhile though as have found out that APR is higher on Tesco credit card than barclaycard. As this is also smallest debt (bar OD) this is where I will attack first.

Can't find the actual bit of paper I was looking for. I have a compensation claim ongoing at the moment for DS who was involved in a RTA. I have already decieded that if and when this comes through it will be put in trust for him until he is older. Will have to continue searching.

I'm waiting to cook roast chicken. Just how long does a chicken take to defrost???? It won't be very MSE if I give us both food poisoning.

3 items on ebay 1 with bidders 2 with watchers.

Have recycled all seed catalogues...a little weakness of mine.:o

Another day at work and I'm knackered!!

Been given two extra days next week already so that's great.

Listed more on ebay, took own lunch to work, reduced DS's lunch money by 50p a day and watered down my fabric conditioner!!

Impatient to get all figures in.......

Now watching 'fat' programmes and hoping that they will make me lose weight by osmosis.:rotfl:

Shop yesterday came to £17...odd. Then got a £2 coin in change so put that in my 'Australia' fund. Might get there by 2020!

So new financial month starts for me today.

Having had a look back on the SOA for January it definately needs a tweak. Petrol is far more than £60 a month (wishful thinking) and £10 a month clothing just isn't going to cut it for me and a fast growing boy. Been working lots in Jan so should see a good March pay packet. This months take home is ok, not great but had the Christmas holidays in the middle of it so not bad considering that.

Need to do a new SOA. Which is far more realistic.

Managed to make an overpayment to CC of £20 this month from ebay sales and have already got £30 saved for christmas 2013.

Bit the bullet and paid for line rental unfront, saving over £40 per annum and also went to paying by DD also saving £20 per annum.Hopefully no more nasty phone/broadband bills.

DS needs new shoes. Car tax due end of March. Only two biggies that I can foresee.

Have been given a permanent extra day a week work. So thats good. Also been doing lots of extra days so money to come is still looking healthy.

Just done an add up and still can't decide whether to go down the dmp route. My largest debt is with Barclaycard and it seems that they do not routinely freeze interest so seems little point.

Have made quite a few overpayments to one CC and waiting to see if it has made at least a small dent.

Have also sent off for DLA forms for DS. Have been on two minds about it but friends tell me that I should.

Rang CSA a couple of days ago and they haven't recieved any payment so think it will go all the way to court.

Will keep doing as I'm doing for a couple more months and see if I'm heading in the right direction!

  • Are you a mirror image to me ? :rotfl:
I can so relate to the sentiments of that song - though mine tends to come round twice a year as it also happens at a sad anniversary.

TN's are so very difficult to have to live with, but sooner or later if you resist the antics they do slink off under a rock.

Money allocation Pots, clearing clutter & an additional basic account are also on my agenda for this year along with getting up the nerve to attempt ebaying. Well done on the smoking switch - another area I also need to deal with, but like you just can't get head round along with everything else.

Meal Planning proved to be a godsend for me last month (why is January always so much longer than any other month ?) and something I am determined to keep doing.

That's fab news on the extra work & the permanent additional day !

Jump along for the ride...I do hope you aren't a mirror image of me. It's not a pretty sight at the moment.

But....re above I have decided on a re vamp. It's too easy to say, when I lose weight I'll but new clothes. I need them now, and I mean need them. Have just got a new pair of Monsoon trousers for £8 off ebay. Thought that was a bit of a bargain. If they don't fit I'll just sell them again. (Out of my new clothing budget...get me!)

On the ebay note, a few little sales nothing huge, but some have sold on a second listing so worth relisting those things.

Both me and DS have had dreadful flu, which resulted in me not working at all last week. Serious dent in the funds especially as it's half term this week coming. End of March pay will be pants. (New day not being 'contracted til after easter, just being paid day to day for it until then)

Today I've actually felt near normal and had a kitchen blitz. Hoping for even half decent weather so I can get down the allotment and see what it at least looks like!

Opened a esavings account tonight and will soon have my little 'pots' for money. I know if I had it in jars etc I'd be dipping in all over the place.

Looking forward to clean sheets and a good book!

  • On one of the rare occasions when my size & weight changed, I decided there was no way I was going to pay top money to get clothing to fit, knowing that within a couple of months or so I would return to "normal" .. so I just did a quick flit in a few charity shops to get basic items to get by. I then recycled them back to a charity.

Touch wood, I've escaped the lurgy this year - Hope you're both feeling back on top real soon.

Well done blitzing the Kitchen (wasn't there a song called "switchin in the kitchen" ?) .. hmm may be showing my age there! .. or not, most of the music I tend to like - was before my time :o

If you're looking for extra little ways to earn with inbuilt support ... have a look at this thread :

Enjoy the book & clean sheets !

    Panic Over.

    Just opened a letter from WTC saying;

    Amount paid this year XXXX
Amount to be paid this year £0:eek:

I know it's nearly the end of the tax tear but even still. Cold sweats abound.

Ring them, ready for a ding dong and lovely sweet man says. Yes, the letter is right for the year 2011/2012.

I tell you what Mr Cameron, the amount of postage the WTC department waste could pay for a ....oh I don't know.....a individual horse dna testing kit for everyhousehold!

Snowing here just a bit. DS still in bed (Illness or beginning of teen sloth?) Have a huge list to crack on with, but actually all I want to do is curl up with my book.

Waiting and waiting for cc statements so I can update, as at the moment my figures are worse than I started.

Time to confess I went a bit bidding happy on ebay last night and was relieved to see that today I have been outbid on 3 items. :o
