I have had the same sort of "inquiry against your credit report" on 23/12/2013.
My concern is that it sates it is against my credit report, and the alert states "If you were not aware of or did not consent to this search, contact EUI LIMITED T/A ADMIRAL or Equifax for clarification."
So that hardly sounds like an address check.
I have never had any direct dealings with Admiral and the last time I did an insurance check via a comparison site was months ago.
Has any one else experienced this kind of activity from Admiral recently?
You might find that there are far more of these on your CallCredit file (CallCredit trades as "Noddle"). They market their Noddle online credit report offering now as "free for life" which I suppose is an improvement since the days when a fraudster could pay CallCredit £12 to see mine online.0 -
These should be quotation or identity searches so are only seen by you and not your lenders. Searches can only take place with your permission but some insurers may ask your permission to re-quote you in the future. This should not have any effect on your credit rating.

Looks like EUI Admiral are at it again.
I have made no application or enquiry regarding any financial products with anyone but today have been informed by Experial that that EUI Admiral made a search on my credit report on 14/4/2014 and deleted this search on 17/04/2014.
Anyone have any idea what they are playing at?0 -
Maybe someone used your details to get a dummy quote.
If so, nothing to worry about.0 -

you hold no car insurance or household insurance?
Have you used a comparison site in the last couple of years or given out a renewal date?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Looks like you went on a price comparison site on 4th April, even if you just got some quotes you will have consented for searches to be done. They don't affect your credit rating in any way so I wouldn't lose any sleep over it....All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.0

I got one of these alerts today too "EUI LIMITED T/A ADMIRAL , a Insurance company, has made an inquiry against your credit report...."
I'm really annoyed at this, I do not have a policy with them or ever remember getting one from them in the past. So I feel this is wrong and they shouldn't be carrying out searches on my file without my explicit consent.
Anybody got any idea how I can report them, surely there must be a a way to report them somewhere.0 -

Report them for what?
Dont waste your time. it is an enquiry not a check. It does no harm to you and you would have agreed to it in the past.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). In the old days, you could flirt down to the local Post Office and have a gander at the electoral roll.
No-one was any the wiser.
