Today in the big SC I have some braised mince, 2 onions, 4 mixed peppers (needed using up) jar of HM pizza sauce (needed using up) carton of passata tsp sugar 2 sticks celery and 2 tsps chilli powder.

Will be served with rice or wraps or maybe even Jacket spuds...time will tell!

  • Doing a huge batch cook today!! In my big sc, loads of mince and tomotaes, onions, garlic etc etc to make bol sauce, which I'll then add some kidney beans and sliced chillis to a portion or two for chilli and split the rest between spag bol and lasagne. And in my small one, a chicken casserole for tea!
Made it - 15 years married!! Finally!! xx:beer:

Pork in cider, with chestnut mushrooms, butter beans, potatoes, onion, garlic, rosemary, thyme, mustard, seasalt, and black pepper.

I'm off to pick up my bargain breadmaker today here, so hopefully will be accompanying my meals soon with fresh bread.

nothing in mine today as I did a lovely beef stew on Sunday and I still have another portion left for later (and I only have a teeny tiny SC - its 1.5ltr but I can get 4 good sized portions from it!)

if I was more organised I could have got some more stuff to pop in it in the morning for tomorrows tea but I forgot and i wont have time later!!

I saw that while in there the other day and wondered what it would be like do post back. I'm so tempted to buy a Panasonic but know all that fresh bread and cake would end up on the bathroom scales...

I bought it last week,so far its been a great wee breadmaker...i wasnt too impressed with the panasonic, damp bread that took waaaay to long to bake,at 1/2 price this one is fantastic, since last week ive made 2 pkt mix loaves(perfect),1 whit and one 50/50 loaves(perfect)and a banana/chocolate loaf/cake thingy, took double the time that the cookbook(from library) stated, but still worked out well and was delicious.

PS/Looks like its due a price change from tomorrow,in Argos under each product description there is a "price valid until"date, and for this its 10/11/09

My sister had an older cookworks model, and she recommended it. I like it because it has loads of features usually seen in dearer models, and has loads of favourable reviews. Although I haven't used it yet, at half price it was a bargain not to be missed.

Today I have a 'huge' joint of beef, sliced onions, red wine and salt and pepper. Just about to put the breadmaker on and then we can have hot beef sandwiches for tea and the rest of the beef tomorrow, possibly curried.
