So much sadness and somehow the bright lights and forced cheeriness of Christmas makes the heartache worse. My thoughts are with you all who are struggling.
We have been cooking today - mince pies, swiss roll and the components of a trifle. Tomorrow I need to make my mum her traditional sponge cake and a cheesecake.
Getting there xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
SC officer has just left, she got some footprints and fingerprints, so that is something. I got in touch with the company that put the double glazing in and he is going to change the locks in between Christmas and the New Year, in the mean time DH has put an alarmed padlock across the handles of the French doors, any jiggling of the handles will set it off. We are going out to buy a cctv camera tomorrow.
The police officer who came out to take the statement said that even though you think that your double glazing is safe, one in a hundred keys are the same and he thought it was someone who had done it before and I had scared him off. Not much comfort when I now feel really uneasy in my own home
I don't think that I will sleep much tonight in case he comes back. Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Hope is like the sun, which, as we journey toward it, casts the shadow of our burden behind us.
