  • Morning all, dry here at the moment but the rain was relentless yesterday and field is very soggy. Jack seems to have got another poorly tummy, why can't labradors stop eating rubbish. Plan today is to tidy and wrap presents. turkey and gammon are defrosting. Hugs to all in need. Jools was thinking of you last night and send love to you and your children and Iain's mum. Hope you all have someone to lean on at this sad time.
Hope everyone has a good day:)

    Morning All
Jools, I am so sorry, thinking of you and the children x

Just a quickie today as we are waiting for the police, we were broken into last night, luckily because I sleep downstairs I heard him and shouted "who's there" (thinking it was DS on the mooch for a midnight feast) and I must have scared him off as nothing has been taken as far as I am aware. The worrying thing is that he must have had a key to get into the French doors which were only put in in October. Our next door neighbours shed was broken into as well, so I have told him to report it just in case the %*&^%$* has left any clues.
I have just tried to get in touch with the company that put the double glazing in, because replacement barrels should be covered by their insurance.
I will post after the police have been so I must carry on checking for anything that is unusual.
I have told DH we ARE getting a dog as soon as we can :(

Thinking of you and your family Jools. Take care. xx

Everything is now ready for the wedding and I have all my shopping done. Roll on January even if I will be extremely broke!

Butterfly, it will be interesting to see whether this has happened to anyone else who has used the same company. Pleased they didnt get anything but it still leaves you cold.
  • Hi all i read this tread every day but stopped posting a while ago, just wanted to send my condolences to Jools at this sad time.

    SEASON GREETINGS WITH A DIFFERENCE..

Most of us are having the average Christmas with family, friends etc.. BUT

Please spare a thought for those who aren't as fortunate as we are, our armed forces don't all get time off and their families will be without them, same with doctors, nurses, the police force always on duty, those parents who lost kids this year, those in prison and their families, those who by choice or not will be sitting alone at their homes because they have no one, homeless people who have nothing and have to sleep wherever they can.
Divorced people who cannot see their kids, sick people in hospitals. Those who will spending Christmas without their love one for the first time...

To all those people I wish you a peaceful time and a better new year!
I will save my tesco £1 savings stamps this year! .......so far = £50 (full card#1)
Card #2 £6. I will not be skint at Chistmas this year!

    Total £56

Am another lurker here - one of these days I'll start posting regularly.

(((((Jools))))), I've been thinking of you all ever since you posted about Iain getting ill, and yesterday's news was so terribly sad. I'm sending you and your family more love and prayers.

We were burgled on the same date, the year that we moved in (18 years ago) and in that case they got away with money, jewellery and presents, so we have been lucky this time, but it is still very unnerving. We are just a normal family with an old banger on the drive, why they decided to target us I really don't know.

Jools - Continued thoughts of you and your family x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
