Not this year but my best ever Christmas Eve bargain was a dozen Clarence Court quail's eggs at Sainsbury's for 10p :D
  • my friend works as a butcher at our local morrissons so i'm going to be extra nice to him tomorrow and see if he'll get me some bargains lol.
  • Got some good bargains at my local small asda today including sausage meat for 50p down from £1.50, not on YS or sale shelf label, but I'm looking forward to the baking tomorrow :D

We're eating a goos this year I got on Xmas eve last year for £10- which I was happy with. Haven't got much room in either freezer left now though, but might be able to squeeze it a reduced bronze turkey or goose if I can find one.

If you have a Co-op near you and its closed BD, thats a very good place. Last year, I went there after work as I was given a 6am-2pm shift then and I bagged mince, chicken breasts, a trifle, a cherry pie, 2 packs of Truly Irresistible sausages and pate for £2!

Anybody else? Where will you be going?

As always cutting back not cutting out.
  • Was in the Yeadon branch (in north west of Leeds) of Morrisons about half 11. They had all the breads dated 24 25 or 26 at 19p each, bagged a few bargains there! Things like pitta bread will keep if frozen etc. They hadn't started doing fruit/veg, fish or meat reductions yet. There was loadsa stuff with 24 25 26 dated on em though! Will be popping to another branch of morrisons and off to m&s a little later to see what else I can get!

Aldi at Deepdale now have all their bread half price and lots of vegetables - loads left. They also had a few geese at half price but no turkey - although to be fair there were hardly any left.
