My challenges for this week
Finish cushions my sewing machine blew up this week. Having a new one delivered Saturday hopefully so I should be able to finish the cushions.
Cross stitch. I want to spend quite a bit of time doing it this week
Make baguettes. Never tried to before.
Where is everyone ?I'm trying so hard to be thrifty, but it doesn't come naturally. You lot are an inspiration!JUST LOVES THE O/S BOARD0 -
Wow winniepooh, you have been busy!
I have spent the past two nights knitting my niece a pair of booties. They are nowhere near perfect but I think the 8 hours of love poured into them make up for it
I have spent the week cooking Italian and very pleased to report I made tortellini from scratch and is was very good for my first pasta making venture, even if I do say so myself.
Next week I want to start a blanket I have now got the wool for and make a cheesecake[STRIKE]Debt 2010 £74,000[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Debt 2012 £42,000[/STRIKE] Debt Jan 2013 £38558 Baby boy born 19/05/20120 -

Hi winniepooh and others,
I'm still around checking this thread. Since my last post, my challenge was to be more reliant on my groceries stockpile due to January expenditure. However, still not happy with some of my February expenditure. Next, I tried to use up my fridge freezer items and also considered the idea about long-life foods for emergency situations. Still a long way to go using up the food items and unsure about storing too much. Thirdly was the next stage to open a savings account but keep getting delayed with this. After that point, things went adrift. However, last week I tried to update my cv but decided to do this towards the end of the week so only some of it done.
It has been nice to read about your achievements and enthusiasm.0 -
