Rechargeable Batteries

Options
Who make the best, longest lasting rechargeable batteries?

I have mainly used Jessops own name AA/AAA for digital cameras and found it doesn't take long before they will not hold a charge for very long. I had the impression that you should be getting close to a thousand recharges but nowhere near.

Any help appreciated.

The quality of the charger is very important. What type of charger are you using?

What type of rechargeable are they? NiMH have much lower memory effect than NiCd and therefore will take far more charge/discharge cycles.

    Using NiMH 2500 mAh batteries.

The charger is Jessops own plug-in charger.
  • You get really good rechargeable batteries from Aldi.

£1.99 for a pack of four AA or AAA's.

I did get 4 AAA from Lidl for £1.99 seem ok up to now.

But for £1.99 will easily save a decent amount of money.

I'd try them in a different charger, more likely to be the charger that's faulty than the batteries.
