    I get a rail forum??

I have a facination with carnivorous plants. My all time favourite is a Darlingtonia aka Cobra Lily which catches wasps. Brilliant in the kitchen. Similar growing conditions to the venus fly trap. Sarracenias are also prolific fly catchers and easy to grow. They all like lime free water.

    Sorry

I had one for a couple of years - watered it with rainwater, kept it on the kitchen windowsill etc - but when it had finished flowering it died! :(
I was told afterwards to always cut the flower stalks off, as they die after flowering, but I've never had another one - but the pics here are very encouraging!
    :j Almost 2 stones gone! :j

Did anyone know that you can divide the plant and end up with several as long as each have root they can grow on into adult plants.
    Easy when you know how!

I tried to do this a while back, but one half died and I've been too scared to have another go. They're really difficult to handle, without knocking all the traps about. :(
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.
