  • We don't have a car and are renovating our house so are often in this situation. We put the stuff on our drive awaiting a kind visitor to help us out by taking a load down to the local 'recycling centre' (tip) which is only a mile or two away. However, it rarely makes it to me asking dad to go to the tip in his shiney new BMW as guys with an open-backed van, presumably on their way home from work and looking for a bit of extra cash in hand knock on our door and offer to remove it for a relatively modest sum. I'm presuming they scout the area on their way home and by now know we are likely candidates! You never know, there might be someone in your area like this.
  • Hope they dont fly tip as it could come back to hit you if the council find out. There is a cost for commercial vehicles to pay at tips but not the case for households that use cars. If they doing it very cheap I doubt they are using a proper tip

    How about burning them.
Please don't burn them - modern adhesives used in MDF etc contain nasty chemicals which can be harmful if burned.
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.
