First speeding fine in 35 years -advice needed

  • Any additional costs would be covered by the price of the course, and having people getting paid for doing nothing would surely help the unemployment figures...

I still believe that for many drivers, the worst penalty is to miss their deadline - 3 points and a small fine is a risk that many drivers will happily take (and. of course, there is no logical reason why offenders should not have to take a course in addition to receiving points and paying a fine).

Yeah let's pay the unemployed £40k a year to do nothing and reduce the unemployment figures. You're full of smart ideas ain't you?

I'm no fan of numb remote enforcement. If it gives people the opportunity to have a useful course that makes them safer drivers, I'll reserve judgement.

I'm not sure that the SAC does that.
Make everything as simple as possible, but not simpler.

ok - forget the bit about having staff on standby (as originally suggested by you...) - let's just make the offending motorist wait until an instructor becomes available!

Don't forget that any motorist who finds him/herself in the situation will have got there by their own volition.

You you're now suggesting they be arrested?

call it what you like! just so long as they think twice before repeating their crime...

According to kerby the points are not a deterrent so you wasted £30. And shame on you as you are a health and safety risk so should be interned.
