Google Warm Front.
But if it's a new one, why would you need a grant for another new one? It's under warranty if new for at least 2 years, contact the installer or manufacturer to fix it.
You don't just replace them each time a fault develops! No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
The boiler is not new its over 17 year old. Iv paid for a new one today because i want it fitted for xmas. Why is this forum full of know it alls with attitude? Looks like you have to be on benifit to make use of the scheme. Typical.0

How Rude!
Macman was good enough to offer you some sound advice based on the information you gave, why are you complaining?
I, too, read your post ("can u still get a grant after you have already paid for a new one? Ours has packed up today".) to mean you have a new boiler which has packed in.
If you wanted a different answer you should have stated the proper facts in the first place instead of accusing someone who has taken the trouble to reply, of having attitude. I feel this is quite out of character for you (perhaps you've had a bad day) but I think you owe macman an apology. I have always found his postings to be helpful and informative.

Even if you had qualified, it takes months for a grant application to be processed, so would not have been suitable for you.0 -

Households that need to spend 10% or more of their income to adequately heat their homes are defined as being in fuel poverty. Its an accepted fact that those vulnerable households suffer from the negative health impacts of fuel poverty. Warm Front's whole purpose is to bridge that fuel poverty gap and lead to a subsequent improvement in quality of life of those within the household.
To even qualify for the survey let alone succeed with a subsequent grant the eligibility hoops are determined largely by pension credit or other 'means tested' benefits, that is of itself a fairly high hurdle. I'm sure you wouldn't want to deny the fuel-poor the help if they have already had to go through the ignominy of a means test, particularly at this Christmas time, especially as appears to be the case here that you are clearly are of sufficient wealth not to qualify.

What 'atttitude'? Your first post was incomprehensible. It's only now clear what you mean... that you have already bought a boiler and now want a grant. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
