Easyjet have changed my flight

I was booked onto a 9.40am flight from Innsbruck to Gatwick to come back from a skiing holiday on Saturday 19 Jan. Easyjet have cancelled this and I can now transfer to any alternative flight on the same route. (as far as I can tell from the information provided)
How much notice do I need to give to confirm which flight I would like to transfer to? (availability permitting)
The outbound flight is on 12 Jan so do I need to confirm the transfer before this? Or can it be done e.g. the day before on 18 Jan?
