I've had one of this companys pcs now for over a year - http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/ excellent build quality, branded components, built to your own specification at an unbelievably reasonable price. Customer service and tech support 2nd to non - local rate number. In fact just had a self inflicted problem out of warranty which they were able to sort out over the 'phone.
Delivery times can be a little prolonged depending on workload.0 -

That's the trouble really, it's impossible to know what customer service is like until you actually need it, and presumably by definition there is something wrong with the product in the first place that would make you contact them. Personally I just build my own pc and resort to the warranty of individual components or take it on the chin and pay for the replacement and fix the problem myself. So far that has been far less of a headache and cheaper overall than my experiences with pc manufacturers/resellers. If you are going to buy a pc from a company I think you are better off not risking giving all that money to a company without knowing what they are like in handling problems that may occur. It certainly seems like a lot of extended warranties aren't worth the paper they're written on.
My advice is don't rely on just how good the product is as that is only part of what you are paying for, have a look around for people who have had problems with specific companies' products and see how happy they were with the response and outcome."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Thanks for the replies guys. My current computer is around 8yrs old and i bought it from mesh, when i first got it i had to deal with there legendary customer service because there were a few issues.. never again
I did get it running correctly mainly due to helpful friends rather than mesh, i would advise anyone who is willing to listen to avoid them at all costs. I will have a look at the others mentioned though.

Just to add I've used Komplett for several years, just never bought a PC from them before and I've never heard bad things about them. I would never pay for any extended warranty on a PC as I can fix most things myself, in a couple of years time there probably won't be many of the original bits left in it anyway. I did consider building my own but it's hard to do it cheaper than companies can supply them readybuilt. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0
