Help Canon MV600 Camcorder

I have a canon MV600 camcorder, have had it a few years, but not used a lot. It will playback old tapes ok, but when you try and film new stuff the screen is black and it is only recording the picture, i really want it fixed as we are off to vegas soon, HELP!!:beer:

It's a standard fault with the CCD, had mine replaced by Plymcare free of charge, with exactly the same fault. The CCD is the light sensor, I believe, hence you can playback old tapes OK, but (if it's was like mine) it will only record sound not visual on new footage. Am I right?

We sent it off, special delivery and had it back in days! Excellent service - hope it's in time for your holiday!

woohooo!!! cant believe my luck, thought i was gonna have to repair it or probably cheaper buy a new one! Going to get it sent of, well chuffed, thank you techies!:beer:
