Rough skin

PURRING
I have really rough skin that feels goosebumpy at the back of the tops of my arms. I am soon to be going to a wedding so want to look my best. Any tips on what to do would be much appreciated.

A good body scrub and lots of moisturiser should do the trick. Dry body brushing is good too!0

Hi, My daughter also suffers from dry skin at the top of her arms, I got some hemp hand cream from the Body Shop, and massaged it in every day, it really worked wonders the dry skin has all gone now, and it was quite bad.

I love that hemp cream are they still doing it?
Purring try adding a little salt to some shower gel and scrub then moisturise.Women and cats will do as they please and men and dogs should get used to it.;)

Yes they are still doing hemp cream, I love it too, best cream I have ever found for any sory of dry or chapped skin. I work for the Body shop, and would not normally big up there stuff ( you either like it or not ) but this stuff is great0 -
This may sound completley daft but i get this and when I cut down on the amount of bread I eat (processed bread) and eat fresh baked bread it goes away! Mine seem to be caused by a soya allergy - very mild though
Body scrubs are good.0 -
I would double check what the rough skin is first.
If it is just dry skin, then the above advice is spot on.
However, if it is a certain type of eczema, then exfoliating it will make it all red (I know, I've tried it!).
Maybe pop in to the nurse at your surgery, they'll be able to tell you what it is.Gone ... or have I?0 -
Also try cutting out any junk food for a bit and eating things like oily fish and nuts.0

My mum and I both have this.. we call it 'goose skin'
... I found that Body Shop shea body butter helped - but stopped using that when I realised how many nasty parabens it has in it!
I now use unrefined Shea Butter from a link that I discovered on MSE [url=http://www.akuawood.co.uk/nkuto.shtml?qty=0.00&sub=0.00&shp=0.00&dis=0.00&vch=0.00&tax=0.00&tot=0.00&sd=&tp=CONTINUE+SHOPPING

I can definitely back up the posts about diet... I changed my diet completely a few years ago... from lots of processed foods to almost entirely organic veggie based home cooked stuff and it improved almost 100%.0
