Of course its rubbish.
DOH !
Really.
Irony is fine, as long as it's clear that you are being ironic. Where in your post does it make it clear ?
Three different posters read your post the same way, try a little harder next time.0 -
Well, they will be aware that if an aspect of the EU PSD that the OP relies on has not been enacted into English law then the OP will have a very diffcult (and expensive) job to enforce it.
It is aready in force and has been since 2009. As per FSA regulations.
Any bank that fails to abide by PSD will face serious fines.
It is even a mandantary that any reported unrecognised transactions reported by a customer must be logged and the resolution of this as well.
5K fine per one, that is picked up.Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -

I don't think it was meant to be ironic really, Spacey2012 is backpedalling.
My 12 year old makes comments like "really"0 -
you should keep your card in a very safe place til this matter is resolved, a woman i know was a victim who cut her card up, everybody denied the fraud and for whatever reason the card would have proved she didnt do it, so now she is about £9000 down. take my advice it could cost you!!0

It's just debit card fraud. Nothing to do with ID.0

If the fraudster gave the expiry date and CVV number for the card, the question arises how they got hold of these details. Since you have to give them when making an online or phone purchase, they're no big secret - they're available to bent employees. But your gf should avoid giving the bank any excuse to claim that she must have given away this info deliberately or negligently.
Surprised the bank employees round here didn't mention this. But perhaps they spend their days looking for opportunities to screw their employers' customers like this."It will take, five, 10, 15 years to get back to where we need to be. But it's no longer the individual banks that are in the wrong, it's the banking industry as a whole." - Steven Cooper, head of personal and business banking at Barclays, talking to Martin Lewis0 -

So do Wonga need the cvv then?
Odds on they don't take it.
Exp is on a retailer till roll.
Why would we want to screw a customer over? Fraud like this is very common, and not something a customer can stop. Of course should it be a fake claim then the below will blow that person out of the water.....
Will be quite clear if its the customer when Wonga provide details of the account holder.
gixer750.
Give this is CNP fraud then you do not have to prove you have the card. Only time you might need it is if you are looking at counterfiet fraud.Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0
