  • I see that BINs are not included, I keep hoping they will repeat the free listing offer around end November that included BINs, that was great and saved me loads of fees! I hadn't known them to include BINs for years.

That was the first Free BIN listing I can remember for years. I loved it, sold absolutely loads of things including things I had previously listed at a lower price in a basic auction.

For the free listing promotion, I'm going to list everything tomorrow, for 3 days, so that all items end Sunday. I'm then going to relist everything unsold on Sunday (whilst the free listing promotion is still on), for a further 7 days, so I get two chances of selling everything.

My theory is that listing something twice for shorter listing periods is more likely to obtain a sale, than once for a longer listing period.

  • Thanks for the idea Porto bello, but remember everybody you still have a 100 item limit but that will be more than enough for private sellers

    Excellent idea.
I've just listed some items for 3 days so that means they will end on Saturday evening, a day I normally avoid.

We have family visiting tomorrow, Thursday so I decided to list now in case I don't get the time tomorrow.

If I do have the time I will probably cancel and relist so they all end on Sunday, still leaving me time to list again for 7 days if they don't sell.

I do wonder if the market place is swamped during free listing weekends/weeks, and the prices realised at auctions are lower.

Maybe it's better to avoid free listing weeks and pay a small fee for the listing and get a better price for the goods

But thanks for the heads up purple321

    I wonder this too

Porto Bello thank you for your tip. I listed 8 things on Wednesday for 3 days, 6 have finished so far and three of those items sold! Two more to go this evening.

I had no watchers on any of the sold items either- they just sold in the last 20 minutes- hurrah , one has been listed on just about every free listing day in the past year with no success at all.
