Spend boxing day listing stuff on ebay... Free listing week

Or New Years Eve even...

No listing fees 26/12/12-1/1/13

Not my idea of a good Christmas/New Year but will relist my unsold stuff to end when the kids are back at school.

I do wonder if the market place is swamped during free listing weekends/weeks, and the prices realised at auctions are lower.

Maybe it's better to avoid free listing weeks and pay a small fee for the listing and get a better price for the goods

But thanks for the heads up purple321

  • I use them to start auctions at the prices i'm willing to accept for them, expecting to just get 1 bid but sometimes it will go for higher. I wouldn't list things at 99p.

    Yes that is correct.

The terms and conditions appear to be the usual ones again this time

The way I look at, it is a free gamble. List at the price you want, even if one in ten sell, you still make far more than 99p start listings.

I've noticed that whatever I list I normally sell 20%.

That's how I look at it. I've noticed that whatever I list I normally sell 20%. (well with in 2% either way) This has happened on every free listing weekend since September. Last time I listed 112 and sold 23, before that I listed 102 and sold 19 and so on.
I list as many 'not listed before' items as I have time for and then top up from my unsold items. I sell from both types of listings. It's funny how it always works out at 20% sold:cool:

If you listed 112 on a free listing day then you were charged for some of them of course.
