My daughter wants to study Scandinavian Studies or Finnish (possibly Russian) - which seems to mean UCL or Edinburgh. Anyone doing that?

There are other places around: look at Hull, and maybe Durham.0

I'm starting at the University of Bath in September to read Russian & Politics. I was very, very nearly going to UCL (which has the School of Slavonic & East European Studies) but I just fell in love with Bath and decided to go where I knew I'd be happier living - UCL is obviously the better university in terms of being recognised as one of the best unis in the UK and known internationally.
There aren't that many unis offering Russian/Scandinavian courses (actually kind of a good thing because your choices are pretty well narrowed down to start with!) - about 20, I believe. Other unis with good Russian departments are St. Andrews and Bristol. Feel free to ask any specific questions about the Russian courses as I have amassed a huge amount of information on this subject in the last year!Student MoneySaving Club Member Number 007!
