Hi all I'm trying to buy an external hard drive but don't know what to look for or what price to pay for an 80gb drive. I have the following spec at £70+ VAT is this any good? Indeed - however the "portable" drives are usually 2.5" (smaller) and self powered which makes them more useful with a laptop when you are out and about. Of course if its going to sit on your desk then you can use a power socket.
