Next day delivery at amazon, see if you can get Prime free trial

just for future reference
you can set Prime to not auto renew as soon as you set it up
so no need to remember
Thanks very much, that is great to know if I ever decide to try it again. I think I've learnt my lesson this time, I ordered some new web hosting today and logged in and switched off auto renew straight away. I didn't know you could do that with Prime too.
I have also had problems with some Royal Mail deliveries. One order was split into two deliveries, and they part the posted out first went missing. It did eventually turn up, but only on the last day I had to wait before they would send out a replacement. By the persons birthday I ordered it for had passed.
However, some things I have ordered with super saver delivery have turned up next day, when being sent by Second Class Royal Mail, which seems to be better than the service some of you are getting on Prime. So it seems to be all over the place. So so SO tired of being ripped off, and mislead
Hope sharing saves some pain.0 -
I've had the same experience as others here, excellent service apart from anything sent by Royal Mail. I've ordered three items this week which were sent using RM, all have taken two days. I've emailed amazon and they say prime isn't a guaranteed service...
Next time they pull that one on you point them at THIS
In particularAmazon EU Sarl (Amazon) stated that the Prime One-Day delivery was a guaranteed service0 -

Or point them to their own help page here which states "This is a guaranteed service" and "One-Day Delivery guarantees that you will receive your order by the delivery date displayed at checkout."Hope you contacted amazon about it. We've had our prime service extended by about 7 or 8 months now due to items not arriving on their "guaranteed" delivery date. A lot of the delays in our case have been down to amazon not grasping that Royal Mail 1st Class isn't a 1 day delivery service but by Royal Mail's own definitions on their website a 1-2 days service
I have contacted them - they were tracking it and provided an update, but seemed to miss the point that "guaranteed service" wasn't providing as it should. So I have just contacted them again to ask more about this part of the help page I linked to above:
Will I receive compensation if my package misses the Guaranteed Delivery Date?
If your package does not arrive by the guaranteed delivery date, due to errors by us or our Carrier, we will compensate you. Please contact customer service with your order details. You were only killing time and it'll kill you right back0
